Midas's new look, along with the theme of next season, happens to work perfectly for a song I associate with him and Lorenzo. It's honestly so perfect and I'm really excited.
I've been planning to make art based on it anyway, so now I can use the Lawless skin for even more accuracy!
I'm surprised I didn't think of this sooner, but having recently finished X-Men '97, I realized that Midenzo would be excellent in content based on Rogue and Gambit moments!
In my AU, Midas eventually learns to control his powers, which happens awhile before he meets Lorenzo. But this would be an entirely different universe just for fun.
So what if he couldn't stop the Golden Touch even after years of having it? Lorenzo would still try to be close to him, but Midas would push him away in fear of hurting him.
Lorenzo works great as Gambit too. Both are charming and flirtatious. Lorenzo explores jungles, while Gambit grew up around a swamp. Lorenzo is reckless in his adventures, and Gambit used to be in a group of thieves.
This all works so well! I can't believe I didn't see it until now.

Why hello there new follower who's been liking all my Midenzo posts. 😁
Once upon a time I found naughty Midenzo art. It was two renders by someone on Twitter. I didn't bookmark or save the images, and can't remember the creator's username. I've been trying to find them again and can't. 😔
This was months ago, before I had much content of my own posted for the pairing. I was looking for anything people may have made with them, and happened to discover these pics pretty quickly.
Now even when adding "NSFW" in the key words, which I don't think I originally did, they're still not coming up. If I search for "Midenzo" it just brings up my work. I specifically remember using their individual names back then.
