Hanson - Against the world? Seriously, it would have been a cool and fitting title in 2003... These days it sounds like three middle aged men going through an embarrassing midlife crisis”
Hufflepuff: I think I am having a midlife crisis.
Slytherin: You’re 18. You’re too young for that.
Hufflepuff: For all I know, I could die in my mid-thirties.
“This whole motorcycle thing just makes me think they’re going through a midlife crisis!”
“I think the middle-aged crises was guilty of this accident. Taylor seems to feel somewhat guilty about the situation. Thank God, zac’s is safe. “
At last, I am HOME! @teuthidactyl picked me up from the airport with weed (for me), pepto bismol, water, advil, and snacks, and then we were so excited to be together again that we overshot our exit by an hour and fifteen mintues and ended up in the next state. This is, to be clear, not the first time in our relationship that this has happened, which made it extra wonderful. I missed my life, I missed my life!!! I also *really* missed my bed and my room such as it is, even though before I left I was really frustrated that the bedspread clashes with the curtains (listen, I'm sorry, this is the Brain I Live In). I am now happy to allow the curtains and bedspread to clash. They each have their individual merits, and that will do for now. Which is how I've come back feeling about a lot of parts of my life that I'd been frustrated with... these problems are all vastly preferable to the crushing existential drudgery of the past week, which is what I felt every single moment of my life until I left home and got to build my own thing.
I decided to make some boba coffee today because I was feeling *depressed* and cooking is cheaper than therapy
It was a mess
Cooking is hard
Things just don't end up like I want
But I guess that's the point right? In the kitchen it's a process: things are stressing and difficult but in the end you have a reward for you hard working. It doesn't work like this in the real life, things are fucked up and you have no sweet dessert to make it worth it
I'm not building a career, I'm not rich at my 20's and I'm definitely not traveling the world, but I'm alive, even though my mind keeps telling me I'm doing everything wrong I can't help but feel alive. And this feels great
