Chapter Eight - Now I'm Branded For Taking The Fall
“Good afternoon, Father Lupin,” Sirius said with practiced propriety. Remus let out a groan.
“Christ, that’s dreadful,” he mumbled, bringing up a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose from over the tops of his glasses for only a moment before pushing them back up his face. “Mary, thank you for bringing him to me,” Remus said with a wide smile of relief. Mary nodded, winking at Sirius.
“Don’t work too hard, boys,” she said with a knowing grin as she retreated up the stairs.
“Sorry, is –” Sirius began to ask, glancing into the flat, but Remus immediately shook his head.
“He went up to the kitchen for a cup of coffee,” Remus said, grabbing a fistful of Sirius’ shirt at the chest and pulling him inside quickly. And if Sirius didn’t know better, he would’ve thought Remus meant to pull him into a kiss with the frenzy and the recklessness of his movements. Instead, he leaned around Sirius and silently closed the door behind him. If that had been it, Sirius might’ve been disappointed, but Remus impulsively slipped his arms around Sirius as far as they could go, pressing Sirius deeply into the door and burying his face headily into Sirius’ neck, breathing out, “God, I missed you.”

OMI – Midnight Serenade (Kungs Remix)
OMI’s been rolling out his ME 4 U remix album in the last few weeks, and I just finally had the chance to check out the entire thing. I’ve blogged about the Bergs and Boehm remixes already, but I just had a chance to check out Kungs’ take on “Midnight Serenade,” and he turns the uplifting dance-pop anthem into a midnight dance party for the ages. The original track is simplicity at its finest –…

I’ve heard it and LOVE it! And since it’s officially Friday the 20th, the single’s officially released for everyone else! Also it’s Midnight so here’s another gem that features Erik to celebrate ^-^.
Midnight Serenade
It was yet another late night, the school dark and dim everywhere that wasn't a student's dorm room. The sky was dark and the world was quiet, all except for one girl who's shoes tapped softly against the solid floors. The blonde had no real destination in mind, but she did intend to find a peaceful place to work on her music, the evidence in her arms in the form of a workbook for sheet music and her dark violin case, a mechanical pencil tucked behind her ear. She passed by multiple dorm rooms before slipping into a dimly-lit hallway and finally out the back door to the small path, her black flats gently shifting the ground beneath her as she made her way to the lake. The lake was beautiful to Rose, and as she was unable to sleep tonight, she quietly slipped out in her long black night-dress, the silky fabrics hugging her rounded curves easily before ending just above the tops of her feet in small lacy rivets. Taking a soft breath and inhaling the sweet smell of the evening air, Rose placed down her violin case to lean it against a rock and pulled out her sheet music. Glancing off at the dark, still waters of the lake, she drew inspiration from the subtle colors, shades, and sounds around her, her eyes even being cast upwards at the vibrant stars among the dark blues and blacks. Humming to herself softly in a sweet, carrying voice, the Lalonde ran through a series of notes as she worked on composition. She had expected to be alone, and so was unaware of to anyone around her, listening to the mix of her sweet singing and the scratching of a pencil on paper.
