What Happens in Vegas

An update from Limore Ricciardi ’90 on a special gathering of Bennington alumni in Las Vegas last month, the third iteration of a unique tradition that keeps growing every year.

This past February, 35 Bennington Alumni gathered in Las Vegas for Vegas Three, the third reunion of its kind. Vegas Three was the first reunion to attract multi-decade alumni. We had all the familiar faces of the overlapping 80’s with a couple of 90’s graduates, Blaine Graboyes ’95 and Jeremy Hulley ’94. A great time was facilitated by Chris Boscia ’87 who planned and coordinated all of our events and Dina Emerson ’88 our resident alum in Vegas. 

We celebrated midnight breakfast at Denny’s (no food fights, although someone threw a packet of sugar at me), our traditional barbecue at Dina’s house and this year we returned to nature as we did in Vegas One and hiked (ok walked) The Valley of Fire. It was spectacularly beautiful. We even ended the hike, I mean walk, with a house meeting with snacks before returning back to the flashing lights of downtown Vegas. 

It was five days of laughter and camaraderie and a feeling as if no time had passed since our days at Bennington College.

Midnight breakfast is a time honored tradition at Clark. Faculty and staff come together to serve sleep deprived students a tasty treat. Each year it’s a warm reminder that finals are almost over and the perfect refuel for a long night in the library.
