So, Jessica, just introduced herself, I guess I should do the same.
Jessica asked me start reviewing with her back in October (maybe November? who knows?), but I’ve pretty much been a book lover since I started reading Harry Potter at 10 years old. While Harry Potter is always my go-to re-read, some of my other favorites include The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson, Going Bovine by Libba Bray, and I’m newly obsessed with the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.
Sometimes I read books too fast, that I have to read them a second time in order to write a review that isn’t just me squeeing over how much I loved it (like right now with Kings Rising, because OMG I almost died.)
I also watch a lot of TV (sometimes too much and most of the time not good). My current trashy faves (I don’t like calling them guilty pleasures because you shouldn’t feel guilty for things you enjoy!) are Vampire Diaries and Teen Wolf. Even though they both get more terrible every season, I just can’t stop watching.
I’ve been a huge advocate for mental health awareness and supporter of @twloha pretty much since they started (TEN YEARS AGO WOW). My last three years of undergrad I spent starting a UChapter and helping new exec keep it going, so it’s definitely a big part of my life and my heart.
I work at the same two places as Jess. We met when I started at the wine bar after I graduated last May. Then I got a full time job at the same university, just in another department. I get a lot of my reading done because my boyfriend is in his last semester of undergrad, so he writes/studies while I read. I’m trying to get through a lot of my TBR list while I can :P
Thanks for listening to me ramble about myself. Come chat with me about your favorites books!
