BUT NO haha, its because if blueberry tart wasnt quite literally a direct piece of smilk (coming with all the weird attachment and pain of making something thats a part of you) i think smilk wouldnt care at all about him and treat blueberry tart like capple and bpphire, a close subordinate but subordinate all the same
ofc theres the hcs that theyre all close, but smilk still put capple in a tarot card and talked abt killing her via ripping it bc she kept failing, i think if given choice of something he wants vs losing them he'd absolutely toss those two out the window
having the intimacy and vulnerability of carrying blueberry tart, raising them (poorly, of course), a piece of himself but also pure vanilla, its just the right recipe for a dysfunctional attachment where he wouldnt just throw them out or dismiss them
