any spare mihawk/zoro thoughts? there are so few writers for this ship and i am enamoured with your work
Hmmm, the thing about mihawk/zoro is that it's HUGELY a situationship for me, and pretty much only in situations like the one in my fic. very much a For The Aesthetic/Bizarre Power Dynamic thing more than anything else.
At the same time, their relationship as it pertains strictly to canon is SO weird and interesting. They have intimate, mundane knowledge of each other that most strangers sworn to duel each other to the death don't have. One of the (many) things as yet unrevealed in One Piece that I dearly want to know more about is what the day-to-day on Kuraigana looked like for those two years.

Brain filled with mizo/mihozoro marriage au of these two going through the tedious process of planning their nuptials, getting shaken down for flower and color choices, enduring having to talk to vendors (neither like having to make calls or talk to people), standing around for fittings and rehearsals and hyping from friends/family/acquaintances on what’s supposed to be the biggest day of their lives and as time passes they’re looking forward to it less and less, losing enthusiasm for it all… so they decide to leave and get eloped 20 minutes before the ceremony is set to start.
Today's menu is marine hunter x pirate hunter AU.
I really love, how Mihawk is mocking Zoro here. It's like "bite me, if you can". Zoro is so angry, but he actually can't do anything. This tension is 🤌🏻
And yes, Mihawk is basically too pretty to be ignored as a man. Zoro will have a tough fight with his own feelings

Today I'm thinking about modern AU with Mihawk having actual child from first marriage.
There are bunch of thoughts on this theme below.
Mihawk spends much time on job, so he have to hire babysitter. Robin is nice and S-Hawk loves her. But one day she felt sick and found a replacement.
That's when the story begins.
Remark. S-Hawk has terrible relationship with father. Mihawk loves him, but the boy doesn't see it. And he is very difficult child, who lacks the attention
Zoro is not Robin. He's not nice or calm. At first Hawk hates him as much as his father. But eventually, this new one... Is pretty chill.
Hawks even tries to convince Zoro, that he's his actual child (this gross man just lives in the same house! Nothing common between them).
The story goes to the next phase. Zoro and Mihawk have this thin connection (S-Hawk tries to save Zoro from his grump and boring dad, but actually makes them fall even deeper).
Another funny moment in this story is meeting with Zoro's father. I guess, in this AU it should be Issho.
Imagine, S-Hawk tries to play his little play and pretend Mihawk is not his father. And Issho is the only person who believes him, because he doesn't see, how similar the son and the father are.
Btw, Issho doesn't approve relationship between his son and that... Man. He just shamelessly seduced his Zoro and trying to take advantage of him.
Mihawk hasn't seen his son for a week after that (don't bother with police lieutenant!). It lasts until S-Hawk doesn't feel guilty. He never thought, that anyone will believe him. And Issho really wants to start investigation... All for the scene, where Hawks ask Mihawk for forgiveness and Mihawk for the first time says how much he loves his son.
(Oh, and he has nice news, Zoro is moving to them)
