( ― birthday boy ; )

Hyojung wasn’t necessarily the best with surprising people, well surprising people in a good sort of way --- But after being around Heegun, or as she liked to call him, Gary, she realized that he was turning another year older. So the idea popped into her mind that she should be nice ( when isn’t she nice to him ), and surprise him maybe with a beautiful dinner and a few gifts. They were friends before anything else, and in a way she felt she could trust him almost as much as she trusted her favorites within her rapidly growing family. Though nobody there knew who she had been spending a good chunk of her time with as of late, and she was okay with that. Her personal life must stay on the down low, or else she wouldn’t feel somewhat normal. Which she so desperately wanted to feel for the sake of her daughter Jiae. A soft sigh soon brushed past the females lips before her fingers ran through her lighter shaded locks, knocking them back away from her face as she stared over everything. Set out upon a small table was a candle already lit, wax melting off onto the side only to be captured by the candle holder it sat in. Two deep plates, empty with wine glasses beside them --- And then of course some utensils. She had everything still in the kitchen, the food, the cake, and the gifts she had for him sat on the floor by the chair she only assumed he would sit down at once he had arrived. To her, everything seemed perfect and she could only imagine having someone do this for her on her birthday and loving it, so she was satisfied.
Humming softly, she grabbed her phone and stared over the tiny lit up screen; checking the time. All she hoped for now was that he remembered to be here, or work didn’t keep him too busy.
