“Dirty little secret”
Axl heck x Fem!Reader
Summary; You, being sues friend, and neighbour to the heck’s, were almost like part of their family. Axl was always like a brother to you, until he wasn’t, that’s when he really saw you.
You were sat in the Heck’s sitting room, doing homework with Sue. You were both sat on the floor on the carpet, sheets of paper surrounding the both of you like a storm.
“Sophmore year is so hard” You sighed to your best friend.
“Really?! Oh God don’t tell me that?” Sue said, as she was a freshman.
“You’ll be fine Sue, you always do well in school” You reassured her and she smiled calming down.
“Thanks…but I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have you in school” Sue admitted.
Sue was more shy than you, she only had one or two friends, and she was very out there. But you had grown up together, and she was your best friend, you would never turn your back on her.
“Of course! And you’ve settled in really well Sue, you’re gonna be just fine” You said making her smile.
Just then you felt a pull on your head. Axl walked past, pulling your ponytail making you roll your eyes.
“What are you dorks doing?” He asked, leaning against the wall.
“Homework Axl, go away?” Sue complained.
You only laughed “Axl people doesn’t even get it. Do you know the concept?”
“What are they, a band?” Axl said making you nod in disbelief.
“Well…Darrin and Sean are coming over soon, you dorks better not be here” Axl said, glancing at you one last time.
You caught his look and blushed, looking away. He left to go back on his room, when he was gone Sue looked back to you. “Are you excited for the first game of the season?”
You nodded “I hope they win”
Sue laughed “I’m more excited to see you cheer, it’s far more entertaining than football”
You smiled “I think Axl would disagree with that”
“As if I care” Sue rolled her eyes.
You went back to your homework.

That Friday, the first game of the season was on. Axl was playing, he had been part of the team since he was a freshman. He was their best player.
You had been a cheer leader since last year, when you joined high school. You loved it, and you’d made lots of friends through it.
Thankfully, the team had won, in fact they had destroyed the other school. You and your friends had nailed all of the cheers you had been practicing since the start of the year.
At the end of the night, you were waiting for Sue, as she was going back to your house for a sleepover. Suddenly someone approached you.
Greg Montgomery, a boy in the year ahead, a junior.
Like Axl
“Hey” He said, a smooth smile on his face.
“Oh..Hey” You smiled back softly.
“You looked really good out there, I was watching” He said, nodding.
“Oh…Thank you Greg” you smiled up to him.
“It was a good game, wasn’t it? I was surprised they did so well, usually the basketball team is the one to wipe out other teams, we’re good.” Greg boasted.
“Yes…the basketball team is good” You nodded, not knowing what else to say.
“Mhm…Well…I guess I’ll see you around?” He asked, with a hint of hope in his eyes.
You nodded “Sure” you said quietly.
He nodded “Goodnight” giving you one last smile.
“Night” You waved back.
Once he disappeared from sight, you let out a breath you didn’t know you had been holding. Just then you felt a hand on his arm. You let out a small yell.
You turned to see Axl, you slapped his chest “What the hell!”
“Hey! Jeez!” He said, taking a step back after you slapped him. He was still in his football gear, muck on his face from the game.
You sighed “Sorry…you scared me”
“Sorry” he said with attitude.
“What are you doing here?” You asked him.
“Forgot my helmet” He said, picking it up.
“Oh” You said.
Axl nodded, looking around before saying “So you were talking to Greg, huh?”
“Uh…yeah I was, why?” You asked him.
“Nothing…Nothing..” Axl said.
You shivered slightly in the cold. It was a crisp late September evening, when the evenings starting to cool down.
“Here” Axl said, handing you use varsity jacket he had been holding.
You smiled shyly “Thanks Axl”
Just then Sue yelled for you a few metres away. “I better go” You said.
“Yeah…..Wait!” Axl said suddenly.
You turned, looking at him “Yes?…”
He paused, swallowing, as if finding what he was even trying to say “I…..Nevermind”
You sighed, as if wishing he would say what you both knew he wanted too. “Alright…see you later?”
“Yeah” He nodded, a longing look in his eyes.

Greg had asked you to Homecoming, you had said yes. You weren’t really sure why you did. Maybe it’s because all of your friends told you too, that he was a junior, that you were lucky.
Or maybe it’s because you wanted to forget about someone else.
One evening, you were walking home from the library, at around 9pm. Your winter exams were coming up and you wanted some peace and quiet to study.
“Hey!” A voice yelled from a car beside you.
You looked over to see Greg “Oh…Hey, what’s up?”
“Get in, I’ll give you a ride home”He said with a smile that seemed too nice to reject.
“Oh….well…Okay” You agreed. You had a nervous feeling in your stomach, but it was late and you were tired.
When you were in the car, he put his arm around you, you tensed, but didn’t push him off.
When you realised he was driving the opposite way of your house you swallowed. “W-Where are you going”
Greg didn’t reply, only pulling in to a Cul De Sac and turning the car. He turned to you, leaning in to kiss you.
At first you froze, and then you pulled away “Greg…I want to go home please”
“Oh come on, have a little fun” He said, sliding his hand up your leg.
You swallowed, opening the car door and getting out. There were tears in your eyes “Hey! Come back!” Greg said.
You swallowed nervously, he was following you, but before he reached you there was a yell “Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
You both turned to see Axl. You wiped your tears, sighing in relief. Greg swallowed “Nothing Heck..beat it”
Axl only walked closer, straight up to Greg who swallowed “You beat it asshole, now”
Greg scoffed, glaring at you one last time before getting in his car and driving away.
Axl turned to you, watching nervously as tears fell down your cheeks “Hey…it’s okay he’s gone”
You sniffled, wiping your tears “Yeah..”
Axl froze for a moment before taking a step forward and hugging you. You felt yourself melting into his hold.
“He’s an asshole” He said, holding you against his chest.
“Yeah” You sighed, your tears finally stopping.
“Come on, I’ll walk you home” Axl offered.
You nodded, and you both began walking in the direction of your house. After a minute or too, he took your hand in his, and you let him.

On the day of the dance, you felt awful. Obviously you weren’t going with Greg anymore, so you felt like an idoit, everyone knew about what happened.
When you opened your door to go to the dance, your eyes widened, there he stood.
Axl.
You swallowed “I…I thought you were going with Jessica.” Jessica was a girl in Axls year. She was head of the cheerleaders.
“I was….but then I realised I wanted to spend the dance with someone I actually like” Axl admitted, staring at you.
“You…You like me?” You asked, surprised.
“Yeah…I guess I do…just don’t tell people I said that…I’d sound like a dork” He said, you laughed.
At the dance, you spent the whole night together. You both saw Greg and Jessica together. Jessica knew what he had done and she still went with him, that was the kind of person she was.
You didn’t care though, because you were with exactly who you wanted to be with. The final song was a slow song, one that made Axl hold you even closer.
Your arms were around his neck, his around your waist. “I wanted to really thank you…for what happened last week”
“You don’t have to thank me for that” He said, and you could tell he meant it.
“No…I want to” you said.
He nodded “alright….but you should know I did it because I care”
“You care?” You asked.
“Yeah…I care about you” He admitted
You blushed smiling slightly, and before you knew it, he’d leant down, and kiss you. Your arms tightened around his neck, and he pulled you closer. The kiss deepened, your heads tilting.
When you pulled away Axl sighed “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that”
You laughed, kissing him again.
It was the perfect night.
