1500-1599 Recap Part 82:

Agustin joined the family as a lodger. He’s not my favorite spouse but I think he’ll grow on me over time. He gets on well with the family so that’s a plus. 

Then Mary Markovic died. 

Margaret was expecting a grandchild from both of her children unfortunately the father of her daughter’s child was her husband. So that drama happened. To be fair, I caught Mikel in bed with Aniyah at one point but any repeat attempts were shot down by her but Sybil remained receptive. I only prompted them once for the dramatic pictures but them getting together was all them. 

Mikel and Sybil married and then Mikel died. 

Aniyah and Samuel had their daughter Martha who died.

Year 1597 Part 4:

TW/CW: Death, Miscarriage

That October, Sybil and Mikel married the same day Mikel and Margaret’s marriage was officially dissolved. Which meant the house was tense for a while as they cohabitated. 

Then in December tragedy struck and the house went up in flames with Mikel inside. The house was thankfully mostly spared aside from the mess but Mikel was not that lucky. Oddly enough Sybil was content with this and was more than okay with being widowed two months into her marriage. 

The stress of the fire and the newly acquired fear of her daughter caused Margaret to lose the pregnancy, she was saddened by it but decided she wanted little to do with her former husband anyways. 

Still the fact that Sybil was so cheerful was distressing and Margaret wondered if it was even safe to keep her around so she kicked her out. Sybil just reacted calmly and left with a smile on her face as if it had been her plan all along which only served to prove Margaret right about her daughter in her mind.

Year 1597 Part 3:

Margaret laid into her daughter, how had she turned out so twisted that she would be fine with sneaking out to the bushes with her mother’s husband? That’s when she decided to fight for an annulment from her marriage with Mikel, she couldn’t look at either of them and decided to focus on Aniyah’s pregnancy though she was both happy and disappointed to learn of her own pregnancy. 

The marriage was officially dissolved when it came to light that Sybil was expecting as well.

Year 1597 Part 2:

Margaret quickly began to regret her latest marriage as her husband seemed to have a wandering eye that often found itself on her daughter-in-law. She was suspicious but when he was more overt about it Aniyah shut him down and Margaret laid into him though he did promise not to go after Aniyah again at least. 

Mikel did keep his word and left Aniyah alone in favor of flirting with Sybil who was a lot more receptive than her sister-in-law. It was only a matter of time until their affair was discovered though.
