so this happen today..
I've done a lot of soul searching within the past 10 months. I wouldn't go as far as saying i'm a whole new person.. but it's pretty damn close. I used to be selfish.. distant.. and just plain mean. I was depressed and anxious.. I have learned who is good for me, what kind of positive influences I need and how to keep myself happy, without harming others happiness as well. I've found compassion for others. I love being someone else's shoulder to lean on when they can't quite hold themselves together.. Today I had one of the easiest yet most meaningful conversation I've ever had to date.. I had someone ask me when and why I decided to better myself.. and my answer was simple. I was tired of being miserable. I was constantly exhausted, from being so sad. I woke up one day and decided I was going to be happy.. I was tired of trying to find happiness... I MADE my own happiness. I chose happiness... and I don't think I could ever go back.
Today I regained one of the most precious friendships I have had to date.. and I am more than thankful to have received that second chance. Here is to the new version of myself.. and here is to many more years of happiness to come.
