Miko Peled in Ramallah, and a new interview

On July 16, Miko Peled will be speaking about his trans-formational new book The General's Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine-- in the historic environs of the Friends' International Center, in Ramallah, Palestine. The event starts at 7 pm, and there will be copies of the book there for sale and signing.

Continuing buzz from Miko Peled oped

Our Miko Peled had a powerful op-ed in the Los Angeles Time on June 6 in which he recalled that in early June 1967, while most Israelis were cowering in fear of an imminent and powerful Arab attack, Israel's highest military authorities (including his father) were confident that escalating tensions with Egypt gave them a great "opportunity" to destroy the whole Egyptian army. This story is powerfully told in Ch. 2 of Peled's new book The General's Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine.

The buzz from the article has continued elsewhere, too. It got picked up and republished by the McClatchy DC website. And on June 8, the distinguished jurist Richard Falk referred to it prominently in a talk he gave to a large audience at the UTUMC church, Methodist, in Seattle, WA. (It's at around 11:00 minutes, here.)

On Monday, June 18, Peled will be speaking about The General's Son at Revolution Books, in Manhattan, NY, and between June 20 and June 24 he'll be doing a number of book events in Washington DC. Check our Facebook page for all details!
