cat is fishing with her claws under my blanket and catching my socked feet
Mom and Dad have both taken to asking the new kitty if she's preparing for her role or audition as Lady Tubbington. (Which, yknow, she was a stray and then a skinny, stressed shelter cat so she has a particular fascination with food even when she isn't hungry, and she did fill out in these first few months of living with us.) I find this new nickname especially hilarious because we are so far behind in our Glee watch that we still haven't even met the actual Lady Tubbington.
happiness is a purring kitty on your chest, tail smacking you in the face while she makes biscuits on your tummy
Kitty has chosen tonight for more wild rumpus-ing. Earlier she was staring transfixed at the full moon.
Ten days after she came home with us, Mila kitty is starting to come out of her shell. Still an absolute sweetheart darling, but now with a side of rascal!
(My slow successes with conventional medication don't always offset the number of extra spoons required for predawn wake-ups caused by her polite little trill. This morning she tried to eat the potted pansies. The other night she was climbing the walls.)
Some of you already know that I have wanted a cat for as long as I can remember knowing what cats are. I am so happy right now; Mom and I brought Mila home from the shelter last night and she's pretty much the most adorable thing ever. I'm lying on the couch and she trills at me every time she passes me during her explorations. An independent, inquisitive girl, but she likes to check in. I ... will probably be taking an obscene number of pictures of her.
