Hades is a surprisingly comforting person for those who have been forced to do bad things, because he can see their crimes and knows how they should be sentenced. And to Hades, actions resulting from programming are on the programmer, not the person who was programmed. What they were forced to do is on those who forced them, not the person who was forced. No choice, action doesn't count. So he'll meet Ace Hearts, or Mildred Mim, or James Barnes, and he'll know their crimes, their conviction, their ruling, and their sentence. And Hades is always right. That's his role in the universe. He can't be wrong. It's literally not possible for him to make the wrong call there.

So when he looks straight at Bucky Barnes and says "Innocent. Elysium, opportunity for reincarnation and Blest," he knows what he's saying is true. Believe him.

With some of the Mim kids, it's impossible to forget that they were raised as living weapons. Maverick, Mara, Mildred- if you ever forget that they were raised as living weapons, you must have amnesia because it's obvious in every move they make. It's impossible to forget the devastation they're capable of.

But there are others where people always forget. Mordred, Malcolm, Mora, Molly- quite a few where it's easy to forget that they went through the same training as the rest of their family. Until they're threatened. Until Mora breaks someone's neck so badly she depcapitates them without breaking skin. Until Malcolm picks up a gun and, before anyone can warn him that it's dangerous, drops everyone attacking him with two bullets to the forehead. Until Mordred, with a wave of faer hand, turns someones blood to black mould and watches them die without remorse. Until Molly swings that cane hard enough to break bone and cuts someone across the throat so deeply that co nearly beheads them. And then you wonder how you could have ever forgotten that they're every bit as dangerous as the others.

The Endless are beings of balance, the embodiment of one thing and its opposite. Unlike the gods, who represent one thing and require someone else to serve as their foil, the Endless are the totality of a concept, both ends of the spectrum. Destruction described them as lords of opposites, but really, they just represent the concept. They are neither heads nor tails, they're the entire coin.

What happened to Destiny, Riah, Malachi, and Mildred got the Endless involved to fight for the Isle. They were allowed to because Maverick changed the rules while she was taking over for her uncle. It should have been enough to make Beast stand down because even Destruction came back to stand with them, but he didn't. Even Destiny wasn't expecting him to be that stupid.

The poor mims

My heart breaks everytime we learn something new

They all deserve so much better

The fact that suicide and death is a better option for them then living on the isle near their grandmother

They will. There are already programs being put in place to take care of them once they're off the Isle. Maverick is personally overseeing the construction of these and providing information about each descendant so that they know what to expect.

She originally didn't want to send any of them because of how she worries for them, but after hearing what Mim did to Malachi and how he went to Yen Sid's house begging to be killed, she realized that she needed to. She can't keep all of them safe, not under the barrier, not without spilling family blood. So she's going to send them away.

The fact that Malachi (and later Mildred) end up having the times of their lives and the most freedom they've ever had in the ICU and a psych ward for mutants really says a lot.

The reason I mention Legion is because Jack is going to be very useful in getting through to Mildred. The two of them just clicked and got it to come out of its shell a bit and to trust Xavier.

I found one really great picrew where I could have Mildred's mouth sewn shut in a frown and could also give it the heterochromia, but I lost that picrew and have yet to find it again. Just so you know, that's why Mildred wears the mask. Because or either the fact that its mouth is sewn shut or because it doesn't like people staring at the wounds and scars.
