(Took me way too long to remember how to post)

I recently went looking for fanfic of Thief's Magic cuz I read it in my school's library and became obsessed with the story.

To my dismay, there are currently TWO, count them, ONE, TWO, works on AO3.

After looking through some sites, I found one person drawing art of the characters on insta and two people talking about it here on Tumblr.

The worst part is I don't even know how to get the rest of the series

(Again, I found it in my school library and I'm sure it's not in any bookstore near me. And the nightmare of having to order things from overseas is a bridge I have yet to cross)

So ultimately, I just have this ONE book to latch onto and I have to just be satisfied with that. 😭

Ok, so, reading Trudi Canavan’s Sucessor’s Promise (Millenium’s Rule 3) and, am I the only one seeing parallels between Tyen and Oppenheimer? The moral quandries, the pain of seeing creations turned to evil and military means? Have I spent too long in this fantasy world and am thinking about it too hard?

I have just read a Thief's Magic, Trudi Canvan. Frist book of Milenium's rule. And I am curious. Why the main characters don't have a single fanart or website on wiki? Are this fandom dead? I guess I must visit Ao3, but seriously any single fanart? This is suspicious... 😳

Ps. I may ship the beetle with Tyan. Am I okay?? Maybe I am sick more than i thought 😂

Some designs for four of the main characters from the Millenium’s Rule books:

Valhan (t.l.): thousand year old extremely powerful sorcerer and ruler over the worlds; might or might not be the villain depending on your reading; was trapped for twenty years and the worlds discovered that they’re pretty happy without him keeping them off each others’ throats

Dahli (t.r.): very clever but somewhat younger ageless sorcerer, 3000% loyal second-in-command and gay disaster, morals optional; not really a good person but my absolutely favourite character

Tyen (b.l.): arcane engineer, somewhat enamored with a magical book; spies on both sides for both sides to keep casualties low when Valhan and the rebels go to war; does not kill and does not want this much responsibility please

Rielle (b.r.): is having a hard time and a crisis of faith; willing to die for order in the worlds, somewhat less willing to kill for it, absolutely unwilling to let someone harm this random moody boy for it; amazing artist; probably has the moral high ground once she makes up her mind
