Faux News vs Socialist Alternative Chicago SA member Darletta throws down... Answer the question Neil!
I watched this at some point last week. Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I've watched it a few times since then. I understand college is expensive, yes. But to try to go to community college for free just isn't going to happen. Much less, the 15$ wage if working on school campus. The interviewer basically seemed to shit on her. She not only didn't know the math on anything she was talking about but I think she just liked the idea rather than thinking of how realistic it could actually be. This was almost painful to watch. So many people in my generation think things should be handed to them rather than earned. Want to tax the wealthy more than they are already getting taxed? They aren't money hoarders, they earned that money. Rather than bitching about wanting something for free work hard & earn your own money. This frustrated me beyond end.
Thousands of students are demanding three things that could change how you pay for college >>
Being a Student is My Power
I am an organizer at UC Santa Barbara, and I am a part of history. I don’t say that in a moment of hubris, but rather in recognition of the long story of activism on college campuses across the country. Being a student is my power. Last week, there were more than 110 college campuses across the country holding Million Student Marches demanding free public higher education, cancellation of all student debt, and $15/hr minimum wage for all campus workers. Read more about the Million Student March and find out how to get involved here: http://www.wearepowershift.org/blogs/todays-millionstudentmarch-shows-being-student-our-power
When you hate the #millionstudentmarch, but you still have to listen to Justin.
