Ok so it’s a svsss fic set in Jin Lan…. bc mom said it’s my turn with a Jin Lan City fic 😂 ANYWAYS basic premise is that Sqq has been picking up random curios because the protagonist is coming back and like he’s down to die but also he keep panicking about it. So when he meets lbh there, he panics and tries to grab a fun little curio to help him get away…. it does not help (but also maaaaaaybe does??) (he turns into a catboi ok) (and also a cat proper)

It’s bingliushen bc SOMEBODY (cough cough @crycifer ) is a conniving little gremlin and convinced me it’d be funny and also fit the story

Anyways I am actually really proud of the first bit soooo have the intro section lmao:

In Shen Qingqiu’s own opinion, he was handling the “death” of his white lotus disciple Luo Binghe in a totally normal, healthy manner.

Which was why he kept randomly picking up different artifacts and curios that might, just possibly help him survive the wrath of the protagonist who would definitely be coming for his bloody vengeance in about… two years. In fact, only a few weeks before heading to Jin Lan City Shen Qingqiu had picked up a Cat’s Grace Crystal. A minor villain had used it in PIDW to be more dexterous in his plot against Luo Binghe. He’d failed, but in a truly spectacular fashion that had nothing to do with the artifact. In fact, it was yet another plot thread that had just disappeared after its one appearance. So he had at least a halfway decent chance of it not fucking him over.

At least, that’s what he had thought at the time.

It had helped him jump out of the way of the sower!! He was also able to keep it in sight!!!

So why was Shen Qingqiu, the scum villain, afflicted with what could only be a wifeplot!!! This is unscientific!!! No one wants to see this old man be wife plotted!!!

Because upon seeing his wayward disciple out of hell two years early, Shen Qingqiu had reached for his fan. Instead, he had grabbed the Cat’s Grace Crystal like a lifeline — and it crumbled in his hand.
