Can u highlight 3 BNHA yuri ships that u think are underrated, and a little bit about what u find appealing about them? :D
[So sorry this took so long! You wouldn’t believe how hard it was picking three!]
Hello darling~!
First off, I think they're all underrated, if I do say so myself 😆 Haha of course not, there's really popular ones like TogaChako and MomoJirou, and once upon a time TsuChako, though with the ending of the manga they were dethroned by TogaChako. I would also consider RumiYumi to be relatively popular in the yuri space, but maybe that's just my misconception?
Now to pick only three yuri ships I believe to be underrated... that's tough!
First, I'm going to pick MinaJirou. While not intensely unpopular, these two definitely don't get all the love they deserve! These two have a special place in my heart, because back when I was 15 and first into My Hero, this ship was my otp for them! Yeah, I actually didn't like MomoJirou all the much! Crazy to think about, since I'm a huge MomoJirou fan now.
Back to MinaJirou though, the very obvious attraction towards them comes first in the aesthetic of The Dancer and The Singer. It's so obvious and right in your face, and I think every MinaJirou fan has commented on it at least once. But beyond that, their character dynamics mesh really well--an outgoing, upbeat, easygoing girl with the laidback, self-conscious, mellow girl. They're comfortable around each other in canon, and I can see them not choosing to put a label on their relationship. They're appealing because their personalities and key hobbies mesh so well together, it's hard to think about them not drifting towards one another, yknow? One last thing, and a bonus for the aesthetic of the relationship: Pink and Purple!!
For my second ship, I'm going to pick MomoKendou. Going with what I said last time, these two used to be my otp for each character! Momo and Kendou have a barely-touched upon friendly rivalry in canon. I remember making a half-baked analysis of sorts about these two, though it was mostly about Momo. Anyhow, the crumbs given to us from canon are incredibly delicious, and the friendly rivalry they have is so *chefs kiss* amazing! I lovingly call them the “class prez gfs.” There’s also the appeal of a more tomboyish girl with the far more feminine girl if we’re looking at this trope-wise.
For my last underrated ship, I’m picking Acid Frog (Mina/Tsuyu)! These girls have so much fun potential. First, their differing personalities—the eccentric wild one with the straight-man literal older sister. And yet Tsu’s the one to suggest the wildest shenanigans for them to get up to! Second, they’re both heteromorphs and I think, despite their wildly different personalities, they’re drawn to each other initially because of this. Common ground, y’know? I think Mina allows Tsu to let loose in a way she’s never been allowed to before and Tsu is an anchor for Mina when her excitement gets a little too overwhelming, especially for herself.
Aaaand… I think that’s it! Thank you so much again, darling, and so sorry this took so long to get to!
i’ve made so many mha doodles in the past couple weeks (most of which will be posted this weekend please bare w me >_<) but here’s some silly stuff from tonight
