"Hahaha! ", "The n-ne-ne-nerd fell d-d-down the st-stairs! " People laughed and commented, mocking the poor young man's speech impairment as Morty sat at the bottom of the stairs, holding himself tightly as he stared up to the person who pushed him, the person laughing the hardest right in front of him- Rick, his grandfather.
Tears welled up in Morty's eyes, blurring his vision completely. Rick laughed even louder as Morty's hands flew to his face.
"Look! Urpp, the baby's gonna cry! " His voice boomed through the halls.
Morty stood up, limping past everyone before grabbing everything in his locker, clearing it out completely, before the start of the summer vacation after school.
Morty still had 2 hours of school left but he was done with the place, he walked out of the building, still hearing everyone laughing at him. He was in a lot of pain and he was starting to bruise up already. Rick pushed him down an entire flight of stairs after pulling his pants down; the worst part is that he landed in front of hot girls... In front of Jessica.
Morty slowly walked down the road, heading home, even though it's going to take a while. He tried breathing steadily, trying to push the anger building up inside of him down.
He heard footsteps behind him, almost like a jog. Rick catched up to Morty, grabbing his already hurt and bruised arm. Rick belched into Morty's face and Morty couldn't help the look of disgust that formed on his face.
" Oh, c'mon, Buddy. I-it was just a, urppp, a joke." Rick laughed.
" Well, it was a shitty joke. You, you always hurt me or embarrass me. I... I'm done with you." Morty muttered and Rick was frightened by the fact that Morty sounded serious about this for once.
"Oh, uhm... I'll just take us home then" Rick said lowly before opening a portal.
The duo stepped through and Morty immediately went up to his room, slamming the door and locking it before falling onto his bed and sleeping the day away- he'd rather sleep than remember what happened each time he feels a sharp pain somewhere.
Morty didn't even go down to eat that night, he slept till the next morning his grandfather portaled into his room. Rick grabbed Morty's arm, roughly pulling him from his sleep.
"C'mon! I need help with this galorp-"
"NO! I'M FUCKING DONE! ARE-ARE YOU DYING OF DEMENTIA?" Morty's voice thundered through his room.
Rick turned around, shock evident on his face before he scowled at Morty.
" Get over yourself, Morty. You're helping me and that's IT! " Rick yelled inches away from Morty's face.
" No. "
Rick pulled Morty closer to the portal and suddenly Morty's fist flew through the air, colliding with Rick's jaw. Rick let go of Morty as he rubbed his pulsing jaw.
"You want me to leave you alone? I'll fuckin leave you alone. " Rick growled before stepping through the portal.
Morty got back into bed, sleeping again.

It's been two weeks since Morty hit Rick and they haven't spoken since. Morty ignored the older man completely, but Rick couldn't help but look at his grandson or wish he'd come into the garage... He didn't know if he'll ever get Morty back after what he had done. He went too far, but he'd never admit it.
Morty got into bed once more, closing his eyes to prepare for the dark void that'll take him within a few minutes until he heard his door opening and he smelled alcohol. Morty ignored Rick's presence in his room until Rick practically fell on top of Morty in his drunken state.
Morty shoved the older man off of him, but Rick grabbed Morty, pulling him into a hug. Morty frowned as he felt Rick's back shake and sobs escaping his mouth, his alcohol filled breath fanning Morty's neck. Morty rarely saw Rick like this, if ever.
"M-Morty, I'm sorry little- little buddy. You gotta come adventuring with me ag-again... Grandpa's alone and I miss you so fuckin much." Rick drunkenly mumbled, but Morty heard.
" No, Rick. I told you that I'm, that I'm done." Morty coldly stated.
"What do I have to do to make y-you forg-uuuurpp-ive me? " Rick sobbed louder. Rick had thought about the mind-blower, but Morty was pretty upset about it last time, not that Rick cares or anything.
'Why does he have to come to me with his drunk ass?' Morty thought.
"Leave me alone"
Rick grabbed ahold of Morty's shoulder once more, looking straight into his grandson's eyes.
"Never. I'll never leave you, Morty. No matter what Grandpa tells you, I'll never l-leave because I love you, kiddo. You- you're the only thing I have." Rick slurred.
Morty couldn't help but smile. He's waited forever to hear those words coming from Rick. He just wanted to feel appreciated. Morty slowly hugged Rick back.
" F-fine. " Morty mumbled, trying to sound annoyed at Rick.
"You'll go on advent-uuuuurrr-ures with me again? "
" Yes, just don't pull that shit on me again! " Morty growled but he realized that Rick passed out on his bed.
Morty sighed as he slipped down into his bed again before staring at Rick's blue hair. He ruffled the spikes softly before closing his eyes.
" Love ya t-too, Grandpa Rick." Came the whisper before everything went silent.
So head-fucking crazy that it makes me sick to my stomach.
“Mindblower” - Tony Cook feat. Earl & Randall
Fred "S/T" EP. Fred is Gred Giannelli, a prolific electronic musician and basically the brains behind Psychic TV's "Towards Thee Infinite Beat", which in my opinion is their most solid and coherent release start to finish. This came out in 1991 and the first track "Mindblower" is what makes this a necessity for my record collection (I grew up with a CD copy which I no longer have) as it is just a classic. One could easily mistake it for a great Thrill Kill Kult song, but maybe that's because Groovie Mann is the guest lead vocalist. This is a 6 song EP that is about 35 minutes long and is just about perfect to me. A great mix of sounds from that era. Not too heavy or too cheesy. It's just solid stuff. I bought this last March or April on Discogs and the seller was not interested in sending it. About 8 weeks after placing that order I was on Wax Trax Records site placing an order and saw they had sealed copies for only a few bucks more. So I bought this, a KMFDM 12" that I required, the Strike Under reissue that I was there to buy, and some stickers. Had to open up a PayPal claim to get the Discogs seller to give me my $10 back. #Fred #FredGiannelli #Mindblower #WaxTrax #PsychicTV #ThrillKillKult https://www.instagram.com/p/CSBYL0rMWr6/?utm_medium=tumblr
