The Five Tormenting Mirages of the Mind
We’ve just started a New Year and I’m was not happy. But everyone says I should be. I have just married a beautiful girl after courting her for more than two years. My health is very much awesome!
My parents, well they want babies now! But apart from that they are very good too. My greater family members are doing well. No one is struggling or stuck in a war ravaged part of the world. Thank goodness. My friends, from all walks of life are doing well too. Some are married, some are exploring opportunities, some want to create a better world. But they all appear to be doing fine. I see so many people around the community who are doing positive things to change the world. I live in a beautiful city of Sydney, with clean water, mostly clean air and a decent shelter over my head. So what is there not to be happy about? What about purpose? What about the sense of pursuing your dreams whilst contributing to the broader social fabric of society.
Tick – I have that too. I started a community in Sydney called – which is about Harmless Happines ®. This movement has grown to a membership of over 1000 members with other chapters around Australia and a couple around the world. This gave me the opportunity to speak at world forums. Through the learning circles, I started to expand further and found the the three simple keys to overall Wellness - #mindbodymove and excited to screen the movie Hungry For Change But then why am I still not happy?
Well to answer the question, I had to go deep. So deep into the corner recesses of the mind where the tormenting mirages appear. Unlike the positive mirage, that helps us strive forward, these mirages torment us.
There are Five types of tormenting mirages and they are: 1 – I’m not Worthy
2 – Fear of Rejection
3 – Fear of Failure
4 – Fear of Success
5 - False Freedom
I’ll be posting each day about them and how to beat them. Whilst these our my personal stories, I’m sure you will be able to relate to many parts of them. Have a beautiful day! Bob
