Happy Meditation Monday... What a great way to start your week... Increase focus, increase productivity, reduced depression & anxiety, emotional balance, increase memory & compassion, increase creative & reduce pain. Give yourself 1-5 minutes a day working up to 15+ minutes first thing in the morning, mid morning or afternoon, after supper and/or at bedtime. Your mind will not completely stop starting off but focusing on your breathing will help reduce the mindless chatter. Small habits help your creation process. Step 1. Go to quite place and get into a comfortable position. Relax rookies and let all expections go. =) Step 2. Close your eyes and breathe in through your nose for a 3sec. count and hold your breathe at the top for 2sec. and out through your mouth for a 3sec. count. Repeat 3x. Step 3. Open your eyes, quickly press play on this video then close your eyes. Boom! You just completed your first or second medition. Either way. Keep practicing! Negativity.
When you're restless in the night and it feels like the world just has it in for you. When you have a mind like mine, and things start to feel pretty hopeless and overwhelming. You forget the good things in life and start to psych yourself out. You tell yourself that you're worthless and nothing you ever do will be good enough. It becomes a downward spiral. I have found that one of the best little cures for it is to go and stand under a hot shower. Take as much time as you need and let your mind run empty. Allow all the negativity going through your head empty out. Feel it for a moment as it washes over your body and then realise with everything you've got...just how easily it flows down the drain. Then it's gone, it's no longer yours to hold onto.
