hun, it took me 3 years (after leaving my old job bc i had to move away) to finally land a job. a good one too. don’t lose heart, keep looking, and find a job that’ll play to your strengths (or rather you can play to theirs). you got this!
What did you do while you were looking for a job? I hope I'm not getting too personal; please don't feel you have to answer. I'm just so worried about not being able to afford groceries or an apartment or anything. I'm not even being picky, I'm just applying for every open job in the area.

I understand the feeling completely. Anyways, good luck to you; I hope you find a good one quickly.

i totally, absolutely 100% agree with you. growing up with empty fridges as a kid, and even going through life having to sell my own things just to provide money for food, i know how important money is. i’m obsessed w/ saving it, and i give 0 fucks.
mindtardis said: apparently it hasn’t aired in america yet??? i mean if you’re from america, I’m not even sure, people on my facebook have been counting down until it airs. Gifs started circulating on here hours ago so i just went to a website and watched it online.
i just checked bbc and it looks like it airs in like 20 minutes, so i guess it's airing later. which is ridiculous because i've seen a couple of gifs from the episode and his regeneration was kind of spoiled for me. But yeah, I should've done what you did and just streamed it earlier
Submission: You and Norman are Expecting, and You're Having Cravings in the Middle of the Night.
Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, craving salty food.
No wait…ice cream.
No…fruit.
No wait…Pizza rolls.
And vanilla pudding.
Yeah, your craving wasn’t going away any time soon.
You put your hand over your tummy, your swollen tummy that currently held a surprise only 24 weeks along inside. You managed to slide out of bed (with some awkward, tortoise-on-it’s-back-like flailing) and with your hand on your tummy, you shuffled across the carpet, carefully watching the bed as your husband stirred in his sleep.
With a pillow tucked under your arm, you carefully make your way downstairs and hobble over to the kitchen. All the groceries from this afternoon had been put away, but a few empty bags were left out all crumpled on the kitchen island. You make a beeline for the fridge and pull the bottom door open, the heavens seeming to open up with it. Light shone out and revealed to you all the fresh produce and snacks that your husband Norman had shopped for earlier. Pudding cups in the center with the greek yogurt cups and cheese sticks. A box of raspberries in the side door, along with the coconut milk and fruit juice. Fruit and such in the bottom drawers, and all the frozen goods on top in the freezer. You lick your lips and reach inside, pulling out the raspberries, pudding cups, and cheese sticks, along with a bag of pizza rolls from the freezer.
After preparing the pizza rolls, you set the pillow down on the floor near the open fridge and its light. The floor tended to be the most comfortable for you, seeing that the bed made your back ache and the couch was so plushy you tended to sink in it with the extra baby weight. You carefully make your way down onto the pillow, bringing your meal down to the floor with you. You adjusted yourself on the cushiony pillow and got as comfortable as you could before eagerly ripping open a pudding cup. You began licking the extra pudding on the wrapper, smiling and losing yourself in the taste of French vanilla. You pick up a pizza roll and dunk it into the creamy substance, popping it into your mouth and chewing slowly. It had a surprising taste, salty-sweet, and yet completely satisfying to your tastebuds.
Halfway into your meal, you pause when you hear the stairs creaking from down the hall. Footsteps carefully trudged down the steps and crossed the hall before a figure emerged from the dark. You looked over at your husband like a deer in headlights, but quickly went back to gnawing on the cheese stick hanging halfway out of your mouth. Norman leaned against the doorway in only his pajama pants and one sock on his right foot. His bed hair was messy and his eyelids were heavy with sleep. He entered the kitchen and looked over at the open fridge before looking down at you on the floor.
“Babe, what are you doing?” He asked, his voice groggy and soft.
“Hungry,” You chirp, popping some raspberries in your mouth. Norman rubbed his sleepy eyes and gently tugged his baggy pajama pants up a little, attempting to keep the hems from touching the floor. Seeing it made your heart flutter. God he was so cute, even when he was sleepy.
“What are you eating?” He asked while tilting his head to the side a little.
“Stuff,” You answer, giggling at your own little inside joke.
“Are those pizza rolls?!” He asked, his voice suddenly clearer and sounding more alert. You look down at the pudding cups laid out before you, pizza rolls sticking out of each one. You look back up at him, your eyes wide and innocent looking as you nodded.
“I had a craving,” You whimpered playfully. The corner of Norman’s mouth perked up as he walked in and sat down behind you. He scooted in close and wrapped his arms around you, his nose gently nuzzling against your shoulder.
“At least it’s not pickles and Nutella this time,” He mumbled into your skin, “Or spaghetti and mayo.” You stifled a small giggle. Norman hated two things: pickles and mayonnaise, and as fate would have it, those two have been your staple foods when it came to cravings. Your eyes fell to the floor, and then over to your protruding tummy as Norman gently ran his hands back and forth.
“Have you thought of any good names?” You asked.
“Mmm…Norman jr,” He mumbled, kissing the space between your shoulder and neck. You let out a small laugh, turning your head slightly and shivering as he leaned in and kissed your jawline.
“What if we have a girl?” You asked, smiling as his lips gently pressed themselves against your cheek.
“…Girl Norman Jr,” He answered, the two of you letting out an airy laugh. He hugged you close, his hands in yours and placed them over your baby bump. You close your eyes and listen to the fluttering of his heartbeat against your shoulder blades, relishing in the the feel of his chest moving with each breath. You melded into his frame, leaning back and letting him snuggle into you, nuzzling into the space between your jaw and ear.
And then you opened your eyes. You felt something twitch inside your stomach. Normally you would think it to be a muscle spasm, but this one definitely felt like a kick. It was quick and sudden, but you felt it. Norman’s breathing stopped for a moment, both his and your hands remaining still on your stomach. Another kick. This one was a little harder, making you let out a small “oh!” in surprise. Norman let out a small “Oh my god!” in excitement, rubbing your tummy and encouraging the baby to do it again. You playfully swatted at his hands, laughing lightly as you stared down at your stomach.
“I think this one’s gonna be a good soccer player,” You chuckled, yelping as the baby gave another little kick, “…That or a UFC fighter.”
“My little ass kicker,” You heard Norman giggle from behind you, “Gonna take after her mommy. No one’s gonna mess with her.”
“You think its a girl?” You asked, turning your head to try and look at his beaming smile.
“Mhm,” He remarked, “We’re gonna have a girl that I can spoil rotten and let her get away with murder.”
“I don’t think Mingus will be too happy about that,” You giggle, "We might have a sibling rivalry on our hands."
“He’ll love her,” He assured you, “He’ll probably try and hog her all to himself, the little brat. Him and Flanery.”
You let out an audible laugh, picturing Norman and Sean acting like children going “mine!” over who got to hold the baby. Just thinking about it made you excited. You couldn't wait for this baby to come, and you could tell Norman was just as anxious and excited as you were.
You leaned back into his embrace once more, smiling as Norman held you close and gently rocked you from side to side. You heart fluttered and swelled at the idea of you and him having this baby. It was going to change all your lives for the better, you just knew it.
You smiled at the feel of another light kick in your tummy, the baby agreeing with you wholeheartedly.

Tell me a little bit about your main OC/favourite fictional character and whether you love or hate them.
Well I guess this is pretty predictable, but I'd say my favorite character is The Doctor. Any of them. He's just so... like he doesn't always know what he's doing, but he knows what he's doing a helluva lot more than anyone else. And he's always got the best intentions and I feel like I could trust him with anything. Plus, The Doctor=adventure.
2. What is your favourite word to say?
"No"
3. Do you prefer wide open clean spaces or small cosy ones?
Small, cozy ones. As long as it's not too small.
4. In the list of things you love right now this minute, what is number one?
Charlie Bradbury
5. Do you prefer travelling by plane, train, bus or automobile?
Well, I've never actually travelled by train, but I'm pretty sure I'd love it.
6. If you had unlimited resources and knew you would look good in anything, what would your style be like all the time? I want colours and hairstyles and accessories, fashion without judgement, go for it
I'd probably go for some pretty hipster-y stuff. Knit jumpers and cardigans and cute dresses. All sorts of colors, bright and vivid and rich. Blues and purples and reds and yellows and greens. And my hair would be down, sometimes dyed, possibly cut short? If I could pull it off? Lots of simple necklaces and simple bracelets.
7. Favourite song at the minute?
"Henrietta" by The Fratellis
8. Which bit of which song/poem/book/movie makes you calm down and breathe deeper and generally makes you content every time?
The entirety of "Shake the Dust" by Anis Mojgani always makes me feel empowered.
9. What is your favourite meal, all three courses?
Well, mix-'n'-match style, I'd say the house salad from Olive Garden, Chicken Broccoli (Chinese food dish) with fried rice, and for desert a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream on top.
10. Are you a hugger?
I definitely enjoy hugs from the right people, but I tend not to instigate them 'cos... I'm awkward.
11. What is your favourite stuffed animal?
There's this cute white reindeer stuffed animal I got last Christmas who's really cuddly and, strangely enough, got me through some tough times. I hug him a lot but then I stop 'cos I'm worried if I hug him too tight he won't be able to breathe...
Oh, man, question time. Let's see...
If you could jump into any one fictional story, book or movie or tv or whatever, what would you choose?
Follow up question: would you want to be a character already in that story (and which), or would you rather be your own, new character in said story (and what would be your role in this story)?
If you could choose three foods that you'd have to live off of for the rest of your life, what would they be?
What crossover would you most want to see happen?
What's more important when it comes to picking out your clothing: comfort or style?
Would you rather: Spend one week with your all-time favorite character or an entire month with a character you like, but aren't totally in love with?
Top favorite baby name for a boy and for a girl.
Do you want kids? If so, how many and in what arrangement (if you have a preference)?
If you could travel anywhere for three months straight, not having to worry about money or time, where would you go?
What's your favorite tradition?
If you could take anyone, from past or present, on a date, who would it be and why?
Wow okay so I guess it's time to tag people. I don't wanna... pressure anyone to do this like if you don't want to go ahead and ignore it.
