Will the minecraft warden be too OP?
Announced along with the rest of the cave update, Wardens will be an underground blind mob that can only detect sounds. During Minecraft Live, when it was announced, A clip was shown of the warden and how it will act and react in presence of the player.
In this clip, the player, in full netherite armour was killed by the warden in 2 hits, and the warden itself took multiple hits with a bow without dying. The warden when alerted also moves much faster than its normal speed.
At first I thought this will be an extremely difficult mob to fight, then I realised a number of different ways in which this mob can be tackled.
At first, there is reaching at a height above it. The warden is extremely tall, taller than an iron golem. This means that you will have to be atleast at a height of 5 or 6 blocks, considering that if you are in a cave you are mining, you will have plenty of stone blocks to be able to do so, but I wouldn’t count on it if the cave is very dark and the warden very fast.
The other way is to get as far away as possible and carry multiple long distance weapons (tridents or bows/crossbows) and confuse the warden by throwing snowballs so you have more time to get away.
Another way is to just run away as fast as possible and not go to that part of the cave, but this does not permanently end the problem.
Is the warden OP? Not really. The cave update is yet to release, thus most of this is mainly speculation.

We need that cow. She's the cow of the people. We have to get that cow to win. We cannot accept more injustice like what happened with the FROG.
