just saw the minecraft live update and I am having emotions about the ghasts

Ghasts are for the Artic!! The Ocean! They need water

and where are they? huh? where are they trapped? THEY ARE IN HELL!!

Ghasts are from biomes that are cold and wet, they are trapped in the nether where it is hot and drylike no wonder they are grumpy! ITS HOT. Bro is suffering in the enclosure!!!

and then it's just they DIE!

THEY DRY UP AND DIE LEAVING A RIBCAGE! but the babies who die leave a dried tiny little corpse

there's an unused sound file for ghasts called their "affectionate" scream which sounds like a cartoon tugboat horn. the existence of such a sound file implies that ghasts make tooting noises when they're happy and that's kind of adorable

I still have yet to see the glitch I was told about where Ghasts in some versions of very old Nether-inclusive Minecraft "spawn by the portal in The Overworld".

Remember, this was circa 2010 when the wiki I was reading said this. Nether Portals could only be one size, and there was no such thing as any non-player entities traveling through portals. You couldn't even ride a minecart or a pig into a portal without the game crashing. (Not that in ordinary gameplay you intentionally or likely would.)

Where the hell has this alleged Ghast spawning by the grassy normal world side of a Nether Portal been witnessed? In all my years I never did it.

I STILL haven't found the Minecraft Alpha 1.2 update news article from 2010 that uses the mythical quote "when there are this many Ghasts, you are going to die."
