So I’m starting work on the minecraft lair thingy, starting with the tree! This is what I’ve got for now, eventually towards the end ill smooth it out but I wanted to get it in to help give me a perspective on everything else and where stuff is.

Soon I’ll build a house in the meadow above, but for the first night in my new Minecraft survival mode game, I’m staying safely underground in a simple tunnel I dug as daylight began to wane.
I like having a tunnel and some storage rooms underneath my house in Minecraft. It gives me a place to explore and mine for materials like coal and iron without having to worry about attacking mobs. This is important at the start of a new game when you don’t have armor yet and a single attack from a Creeper or a skeleton with good aim can spell doom.
Here I’m digging out a room that’s about 10 blocks below the surface. I’ll use it as a staging area until I’m ready to dig deeper down to the very bottom of the world.
