this was the most intense chess match i’ve ever seen.

i’ve been rlly hyperfixated with this rp on a server with some friends. help me it’s literally eating my life and i can’t stop thinking about it >_< i streamed the drawing in the discord call with the bozos

(originally i just kinda stumbled upon it on a server, and didn’t have a skin of an oc or whatever so i just used my humanized lizzie skin and she ended up getting absorbed by the cult so she’s there i guess)

i was gonna apologize for being cringe or whatever but what the hell. no i’m not.

Minecraft screenshot redraw for @mc-speculation ‘s header

First Image: a digital painting of a shipwreck in a desert. The desert is comprised of pale, sandy dunes with scant patches of long grass near the ship. The ship is styled after maritime ships, but I don’t actually know anything about ships so it’s probably very inaccurate. It’s made of dark wood and has dilapidated railings on top of it. The back half of it has been broken off and there’s no mast. The sky is blue and has a few faint, wispy clouds. The grass and clouds, as well as some stray grains of sand in the air suggest a stiff wind is blowing through here. The sun is shining brightly off of the sand and it looks very dusty.

Second Image: a screenshot of the same scene from Minecraft. Everything is made from cubes that form the structure of features in the game. There’s no dramatic lighting, wind, or dust. There is ui over the screen, showing health, armor, hunger, and a hot bar of items among a few other things. The player character is holding an axe which covers the bottom right corner of the screen.

As promised, the first screenshot redraw!

Like I said, I did this one on stream today. The wheel said mesa so I drew the mesa :]

It was a fun exercise, and probably a good thing too, since I'm awfully out of practice when it comes to landscapes and backgrounds. Seriously, I barely ever draw backgrounds and whenever I do I get my ass beat the entire time, it's really about time I learn to draw these things correctly

I don't know if this'll be a stream thing, or if I'll end up doing some of these

hazzah, my first serious attempt at drawing a landscape! to be fair, the sketch was just a traced minecraft screenshot lol at first i was gonna put a more realistic sun but i had trouble with it and thought "well, my style is already pretty cartoony and i have an oc who is just the sun with tits so why not get a bit sill-ay ?" and i think it worked out in the end. total time taken; 8 hours and 34 minutees
