“There was no way she was really seeing this, right? There had to be an explanation. But the fairies were everywhere, near and far, shimmering in vivid colors. How could she deny what was before her eyes.”

Bookbinding: A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Date Completed: 12/28/2024
Size: Petite/Legal 16mo (roughly 9x6cm)
Copies: 1
Catching up on my end-of-the-year projects. This was a typeset shared on the Renegade Bindery's discord server so I can take no credit for anything except the font choice for the spine (Old Wood) and the holly on the cover (canva clipart).
Petite/16mo means 16 pages per side of legal paper, so this was pretty small! My printer isn't great at lining up the text on both sides of a sheet - it's about 1.5mm off, which is really noticeable at this scale. But once I had things trimmed smooth and nicely bound it didn't bother me as much, and I'm really pleased with how everything turned out. I'll probably be making a lot more for Christmas gifts when the time comes again.
And as a bonus, the HTV went on with absolutely no issues. That's a first!
It doesn’t look like much but I’m finally getting around to attempting to paint The Life of A Showgirl mini book…
I hope it turns out 😅

Making tiny books heals my soul.
I don't care if I can't actually read the text half the time. I also don't care that my dollhouse bookshelves are all full. I finally set up my library and it's gonna be fully stocked with every tiny book I can get my hands on whether I have to buy them or make them.
I'm obsessed with the tiny books.
