Well I am a little late on this one, shows how far behind I am.
It comes with 25 games and like the c64 mini you can play games off a usb stick.
Most of the games I know from the arcade or playing them on the c64. Graphically they look similar to the Atari 5200 which I think is pretty comparable (Now I want to go down the rabbit hole of seeing what the differences are in the games.)
I noticed Yoomp is on the list which is a fairly modern homebrew from 2007. Again I know it from the C64 port and again I wonder if there are other homebrew games in the collection

Darius Arcade has me a little bit interested. Especially if it is a homebrew.
Lots of good third party titles.
Seems there will be 3 versions released (Western, Japan and Asian)
Each version will have a few exclusive games.
I know it has been out a while but I am finally getting around to typing up a few thoughts.
While I am kind of interested in it and have been following the progress now and then. I think it is a bit weird that they changed the name from The 64 to The C64 but the old website is still there and it has a lot of old information (Like that they were trying to get Sam’s Journey, an as yet unreleased C64 title that looks amazing)
I like that it is a scale replica but I don’t like that the keyboard isn’t functional.
I like that they had 64 games but they seem chosen a bit randomly or rather thoughtlessly. I hope you will be able to update with your own games.
Unlike Nintendo which is company that has continued both making games and consoles since the late 70′s, Commodore as a company went bankrupt and they never really were known as a company that made and owned great games IP.
More on the games, there are 4 major games companies from back in the day. Epyx Games, Gremlin Graphics, Hewson and Thalamus (Who already announced they are back in publishing video games). The companies that own the IP is publishing it today along with a few other games from other publishers.
it seems like there are a lot of sequels. I have been reminded of a few games I had forgot I played a long time ago like anarchy and steel. Games like avenger that i feel like i should have heard about. Big titles like Creatures. There also seems to be a few games in hi-res mode that I always feel makes it seem like it has been ported over from a spectrum (The games with yesod in the title, ranarama, monty on the run) Rubicon and Hawkeye look like the same game. I am impressed with the range of different games, come to think of it I should probably add genre to my spreadsheet. There seems to be quite a few horizontal shooters and platformers.

SNES Classic Edition announced. I analysed it again.
I refuse to call it the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Thoughts...
Almost zero arcade ports, a few follow ups to games on the NES mini. A lot more SNES exclusives, especially if you count the game boy advance portable versions.
Second controller and you have to buy the power supply separately? And STAR FOX 2 <-- pretty much the level of excitement for all retro fans.
*Just realised a few games came out on the Wii stores too.

Just looking at the bundled games.
- Lot of arcade ports
- Not many original launch titles.
- A few exclusives but a lot of games that evoke that NES feeling.
- Probably a good introduction to NES or to relive those nostalgic memories
