Shepherd Book, and Amigurumi doll inspired by Book from Firefly/Serenity

Shepherd Book, an amigurumi doll inspired by Book from FIrefly/Serenity As many loyal fans of the shop know I have been working my way through making the entire crew of Serenity for the past few years. Shepherd Book came about because I was approached by the good folks of Cant Stop The Serenity, Pennsylvania to make a doll for their yearly Charity auction which I have been honored to have been a contributor to for a few years now. They requested Shepherd Book and I was very excited to make him. Book stands about 10 inches tall. His hair is made from 2 types of yearn to give the impression that its about to burst out of its bun :) His arms move and he should stand on his own if you take a minute to balance him. Book is made bespoke just for you and that work takes about a week. Of course that depends on how many other orders I have at that time. I will give you an estimate when you place your order. If you need him on time for an occasion just let me know when you order and I will do my best to get him to you on time. Claro que tuvimos fails... Afortunadamente algunos se pusieron corregir..

El mayor y más notorio es que no pude darle un acabado a las garras (que se ven aún de cajita de cereal por cierto 😅)y no pude pintar algunos detalles de las botas o del cinturón

También el cortar el fieltro para dar los detalles en azul estuvo chueco, y con un poquito de presión quedó mucho mejor.. pero creo que en esta ocasión, estamos bastante satisfechas de como se ve la pequeña Dulce en forma de Lobezna...

Valió la pena las desveladas, y el sacrificio de la hora de comida de ese día para acabar su pequeño cosplay..!!!

Lo que le dió complejidad al vestido no fue la relativa sencillez de improvisar, sino que las mangas fueron realmente el reto. Jamás había cosido mangas tan pequeñas, de ese estilo y con tanto detalle..

Para colmo de males las dos no son lo que se dice precisamente iguales...!!! Pero ya en la modelo luce regia. Para cerrarlo utilicé Velcro de toda la vida y listo. Nuestro vestido de la princesa fuego quedó terminado. Al menos la parte de costura.
