Ren is one of my favourite boys. I'm so happy I have this head, especially since the artist doesn't make BJD heads anymore. I suppose this sculpt is rare now. And it was a really good idea to make him resemble Felix. That makes him twice as special.
Last Saturday Ren went to a rehearsal space room to play some rock music. He likes playing his guitar and practises a lot. His favourite musician is Miyavi and Ren hopes to become at least half as good as him.
Ren wanted to show off his new sneakers. And decided to wear clothes loosely inspired by Lee Felix's outfit during his runway debut for Louis Vuitton FW24. I have to say those sneakers are really great. Very realistic and stable, Ren can stand on his own, no need to use a doll stand. I just need some decent socks because the ones I've got are too big for him, he's so skinny. 😅
My Ren is finally back home. 🪷 He's got new faceup and new wig. As a character he grew up and is now 20 (he was 16 back then). His look was heavily inspired by Felix of Stray Kids, particularly what Felix looked like at Chicago Lollapalooza 2024 when he went shirtless while performing "Charmer". I'm super happy with my refreshed Ren. 🥰 I love him so much, I'm not even sure who's my favourite boy right now - Ren or Tristan. 🤭 The only problem now is finding the right clothes. Well, I don't expect to find anything with tiny LV logo. I only managed to make that LV pendant. And a pair of trousers can be a real challenge in Ren's case because his legs are so long that everything ready-made will be too short.
I also had to change Ren's aesthetics moodboard. He's no longer a pink haired teenager roaming around Harajuku in his free time. He's a college student with bleached hair whose dream is to become an actor and seiyuu. He still likes dancing and he's got a part-time job at a cafe.
Ren Suemura is a 20-year-old Japanese living in Tokyo and studying at Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music. He likes music and contemporary dance and his dream is to become an actor starring in musicals. He also wants to work as a seiyuu (voice actor).
Those are probably the last photos of Ren with this faceup. I intend to get him repainted so that he looked more mature because as a character he grew older. Besides I want him to resemble Felix from SKZ. Funny, I've never been into k-pop, I just watch some k-dramas and read webtoons. Oh well, that's what you do to kill time.
Ren loves playing his guitar. I suppose I should find a bass guitar for Ren's friend.
