Hello!!!! Kahanni is a chimeric being formed from magical practices both ancient and contemporary.
So basically Noa made a deal with the Setites (Written here!) so now she has to help them make a child. Something that exceeds a mere kindred, something that blurs the line of life and death more than a thinblood.
So she and Nyth contributed their talents. Her mastery of Necromancy and spirit ensnaring to imbue the child with a "soul", Nyth using his thinblood alchemy to make near-living, functional, body parts to be implanted into Parvati and Harrakhty so the child would be born of them. Then comes in Mama. A Witch of Echidna that is ancient even to Harrakhty and Parvati. Mama over all this time perfected the Setite blood sorceries but her primary focus was the Ushabti. She created from the clay of the cradle of man a perfect Ushabti. The Ushabti was incubated in Parvati, who was kept in an agonizing state of partial life thanks to Noa and Nyth for a month, then gave birth to Kahanni. It's also thought that Parvati's master of chimestry was also involved in the process but to what extent? She doesn't even know. The state she was in didn't allow for much clear thought.
So what IS Kahanni? I consider her a Dhampir without any limitations or restrictions. She is naturally able to develop the disciplines of her parents as well as learning others with more ease that regular Kindred. Other than an overt use of her powers, there would be no way to tell she's not mortal. Her vitae becomes more potent the more she learns. She is ticking time bomb and a leading example of why kindred shouldn't be allowed to work together.
