It was honestly a miracle that the lights had managed to stay on with how intense the typhoon happened to be but he was glad that they had. He had quite a lot of schoolwork to finish and turn in once it passed since class had been canceled. Not that it troubled him too terribly much. He was used to working for such long periods and so late at night. Even if most of the time he did end up falling asleep at his desk.
Regardless of that though he couldn’t help but gaze out towards the storm and sigh, rubbing at his crimson eyes as he stifled a yawn. It felt so strange that his 18th birthday had come and gone like that. While he had gotten quite a few messages and kind words from his classmates the fact that it had passed like any other day still hurt just like it did every year. It only reminded him of how alone he truly was.
A sharp crack of lightning quickly pulled him out of his thoughts however and he let out a gasp at the loud sound, placing a hand on his chest as he took a deep breath. Goodness... How on earth he’d managed so far was beyond him. Every little sudden sound simply unnerved him. Not that it was surprising with how strong the storm was but he couldn’t help but despise how easily startled and anxious he always was. Even if he knew what the reason for it was.
“A-ah!? O-oh goodness...”
