Sorry for the wait, folks! Idk what's wrong with me. I have had the writing bug, I'm actually most of the way through chapter 12, but I wasn't able to make my brain slow down enough to edit. I'm sorry, I think I got that undiagnosed ADHD or something and my creativity ebbs and flows on kind.of weird waves and cycles. I thought if I put myself on a schedule I'd wrangle it, but it seems that's not the case. You got 3 chapters in one day though, so maaaaaybe you forgives me? 🥺 👉👈🥺 Pwease?

1. I like how hard I've worked in past years to hang on in there with my mental health

2. I like how hard I've been working more recently to make progress and better my mental health so it isn't always just about hanging on in there

3. I like the way when I enjoy something that I get so excited about it and love it so much

4. I like that I find a lot of things funny and I can laugh and find some light even when it's hard

Communication Breakdowns: Hunger Pains

When animal attacks draw Dean and Castiel to the Ozarks, they meet a park ranger haunted by family secrets. As the line between man and monster blurs, Cas—stripped of his grace—must rely on instinct alone. In the shadow of a failing mind and a dying fire, seeing each other clearly might be the only way out.

This is a one shot MOTW case fic set between chapters seven and eight of the main fic in this series. If you haven't read it, I think you'll still be able to enjoy this one shot on its own.

I haven't really done a case fic before, so I'm anxious to know what you think!

Fic Summary: After Jack has absorbed Chuck's powers, Dean asks him for help. Dean risks his neck to get into the Empty and rescue Castiel. Dean's been haunted by Cas's death and unable to move on. He's able to get Cas back, the trouble is that there's a lot that's still unsaid between them. On the other hand, there's a lot that has been said between them that they are also having trouble processing. It's causing friction between them as they navigate their new circumstances together. The two are struggling to get on the same page and to understand one another. To make matters worse, Sam keeps sticking his nose where it doesn't belong and it's really starting to grate on Dean's nerves. What does he have to do to make Sam understand this is serious, and seriously personal too!? He's going to get that moose to take him seriously one way or another.

Guys I'm sorry, I've written the next like 4-5 chapters of Communication Breakdown but I haven't edited it, and unfortunately my writing really does require editing because if I raw dog my writing you end up with something like How Long? which is genuinely an untenable series of run on sentences that switch between present and past tense. Not to mention the sloppy turn of phrase and repetitive writing. I swear I will edit it, I just need a little treato first so I can have enough dopamine to do it right
