The Spider with a Reflection!
Say hello to the Mirror Spider! Belonging to the genus Thwaitesia, Mirror Spiders are easily identified by the reflective surfaces of their abdomens.
Mirror Spiders can be found in almost every continent, including parts of Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, and South America.
Growing to about 1.5mm to 7mm across the genus, there’s no need to fear these tiny beauties, as their bite poses no threat to humans!
I absolutely love spiders, so learning about the existence of these little beauties was an absolute delight!
Thwaitesia argentiopunctata known as the sequined spider, mirror spider, or twin-peaked Thwaitesia, is a species of spider found in almost all states of Australia. It is known to have a reflective abdomen that plays a crucial role in their camouflage to protect them from predators in the forest canopy. The scales look like solid pieces of mirror glued to the spider's back, but they can actually change size depending on how threatened the spider feels. The reflective scales are composed of reflective guanine, which these and other spiders use to give themselves color. [A-Z Animals: Sequined Spider]

Fakemon Challenge #6 - REFLECTERROR (Bug/Ghost) The Haunted Mirror pokemon
It is based on the Mirror Spider, Haunted Mirrors and the urban legend of Bloody Mary
The mirrorr in the abdomen of REFLECTERROR works as a portal between the world of the living and the dead, allowing the pokemon to call fort spirits that it can control.
It usually inhabits old abandoned buildings, waiting for humans to come close and look into it, so they an be attacked by the spirit.
March's Pal of the Month is the Sequin Spider! Its abdomen is adorned with shimmering scales composed of guanine, a highly reflective substance that can change shape for camouflage and intimidation!
