Sybcissa was legitimately the first wlw Marauders Era ship I got into, like years ago when I discovered the idea of treating separate generations as somewhat separate fandomspaces (this was before Ao3 was the main fic site), and no one else ever talked about it, and I'm glad to see it become more of a thing now, even if my opinions have changed!

Narcissa who dances and trains in an abandoned classroom because she has to be perfect, and Sybill who's been using that classroom to work on divination through sketches in private and has taken up drawing Narcissa anytime she shows up to dance in the classroom

Vampire Narcissa who gets thrown out of her family because she was turned, and while trying to find shelter in the forest, she runs into two werewolves. Alice, and Sybill. First of all her instincts are immediately like “absolutely not” but she’s so tired and the sun will come up soon and she needs warmth because she misses the comfort of it, so she goes with Alice and sybill to their den, where she rests for a few days.

they try to teach her how to hunt like them but she’s really really bad at it, and eventually she figures out how to hunt in her own way. It’s elegant and can be done alone and so unlike Alice and Sybill’s hunting. They’re both in utter shock, because like HELLO?

Anyways they probably make out, idk

It’s cissa and sybill and I LOVE elegant refined angelic woman and weird girl wlw

Healer Narcissa who finds the weird girl in her year on the forest ground crying because she fell out of a tree, and Narcissa heals her.

So Sybill starts showing up everywhere Narcissa is (she’s always been there, Narcissa didn’t realize though.) and leaves little trinkets and cool pebbles or smooth crystals for her, trying to impress her (like how a penguin does)

Narcissa catches her leaving a pebble for her and she asks her why she’s doing it.

Sybill tells her that penguins give those they’re interested in rocks as a courting ritual and scurries away while Narcissa is confused.

Eventually Narcissa sits next to her one evening after dinner, when sybill is looking at fireflies, and she kisses her.

Sybill is overjoyed that her penguin plan worked.
