Phainon wrecks me. The story, his gestures, his speeches, his resilience, the way he trembles and breaks beneath all that light. It’s too much and I love him for it. He makes me cry and laugh in the same breath. He’s so dear to me. Light and ruin. Just… beautiful. Lately, I have once more been writing like a maniac just to cope.

Sure, Anaxa may be eccentric and a little unhinged, but he’s also sharp-tongued, unexpectedly kind when it matters, hilarious even when he’s not trying to be, and entirely too good at both reasoning and rambling until no one remembers what the original argument even was. He’ll roast everyone, save lives, and then write a thesis about the moral implications of doing so. That’s why his brilliance feels alive in a way most don’t. I adore him.

Anaxa giving love lectures about dromases is peak perfection. The new dromases event confirms it once more. There is nothing purer than his devotion. He’s so sincere about it, so dedicated, that he can literally list 270 reasons to love dromases with the seriousness of a sage and then interact with a baby dromas in such a soft way—and it’s beautiful. My love for him? Even stronger.

Noah and Van Helsing aren’t just enemies or reluctant allies. They’re a full-blown phenomenon. Gun-to-the-head first meeting, and within days they’re finishing each other’s sentences mid-murder mystery and apparently dreaming about each other. Sass, sharp logic, reluctant respect, fascination, admiration… what even is their dynamic? Enemies? Rivals? Allies? Two sides of the same blade? Soulmates in deduction? Whatever it is, it’s tension and chemistry in equal measure. The vibe is unreal.

I know Wise in ZZZ is supposed to be me, technically, but every time he shows up in the story I just melt a little. The way he talks, the calm wit, the presence he has. It feels less like a POV and more like a character I can’t help but admire (and maybe have a small crush on).

Funny story, actually. When I first started playing, my brain short-circuited and I picked him as my MC without thinking. Only later did I realize he was supposed to be me. I never really saw it that way, though. I just love following his and Belle’s story. They’ve become one of my favorite parts of ZZZ.

Sometimes Silver and Blood dialogue is just hilarious.

Empousa: “So who are you, and who is she?”

Hati: “Wait—so she’s who? You’re who? Who’s with who? And who even am I!?”

Me, every time the lore starts spiraling and I am trying to grasp everything: I am Hati.

And then 10 minutes later Noah, completely straight-faced: “So our method of invading that world… is to squeeze ourselves into this bottle?”

The game truly has everything: gothic atmosphere, a good story, complex characters, rich lore, and comedy gold.

Finally catching up on ZZZ again, and I’d almost forgotten how comforting it feels to be in New Eridu. The mix of humor, chaos, heart, action and character dynamics just works so well. Even the smallest missions have this spark of personality that makes me smile. I really missed this.

Noah and Van Helsing have barely met in the beginning of chapter 6 and the game is already writing them like they’ve stepped straight out of a dramatic enemies-to-lovers novel.

From the moment Van Helsing deflects bullets with a sword, Noah’s intrigued. Cue duel-like tension, razor-sharp remarks, and First Mate Bob literally acting as the audience going, “do you feel that sweet tension in the air?” (Yes Bob, yes we do.)

Then we get lines like “Regrettably, Silver-haired, we are clearly incompatible” immediately followed by “I’ll have plenty of time to watch your every move.” (?? Am I interrupting something?)

And Noah, of course, has to deliver his lines with that teasing, almost flirty tone.

This is only the beginning of their acquaintance, and it’s already peak dramatic fanfic energy.
