This is moreso for my timeline’s sake than anything else, but here’s a HC list of the order of each pasta that shows up at the manor, in my universe at least. Been working on two different HC posts at once and I need to make sure I’m not contradicting the order of appearance on any HC posts going forward.
Jeff was the first for a few years.
Masky and Hoody came next.
EJ, BEN, Sally, Helen, and Puppeteer all showed up within the next 3 years
Nina comes next
Liu and Jane showed up together
Kagekao claims it’s been there for awhile, and somehow people have the memory to back that up, but something seems fishy about it. In reality, Kage showed up shortly after Liu and Jane.
Jason arrives next, and very soon after, Ann and LJ as well due to being Jason’s “creations”.
Clockwork is the newest despite being one of the oldest age-wise
Do you think of Azula as a hamburger or hot dog kinda person?
Interesting question! xD I never thought about this. I’m wanting to say hotdog because hamburgers can be messy. Idk if this is just a bellatrixobsessed1 experience but, like, if I hold it the wrong way the pickle will slide out or if I put too much mustard and ketchup on the patty it will leak and it’s kind of annoying.
I feel like this is something Azula would want to avoid. Azula is not a messy eater, she does not like messy foods. And by all means (modern AU) she is that weirdo who will eat hotdogs and hamburgers with a fork. I feel like she doesn’t like finger foods very much.
Now on to hot dogs specifically; she prefers to eat them without the bun because she usually just picks away at the bun anyhow. The taste of the bun usually overpowers the taste of hot dog and that defeats the purpose in her mind. So she just straight up doesn’t use a bun. She likes ketchup though. Lots of ketchup. Too much ketchup. No human being should ever be allowed to put that much ketchup on one hot dog.
Also big lol because I never thought I’d go this in depth with an Azula hotdog headcanon of all things.
Well, it’s late. I can’t sleep. And I’ve got Emeril on the mind. So here are some headcanons about Almas’ cinnamon roll alter. 22 of them here.
1. He has an extremely fast reading speed.
2. Fluent in Old Equestrian (as is Almas).
3. Prefers classical music over the modern stuff.
4. He generally keeps to himself, a bit of a longer though he does have a best friend: the lawyer Bluebelle. Despite his introversion he is well-liked by the community.
5. He studied medicine one thousand years ago so when the Crystal Empire was freed and time began for him again, he needed to seek out updated information and be recertified. He passed all the tests with flying colors and is a certified nurse-practitioner.
6. He might complain about being tired all the time but there’s a reason for this. He only gets a few hours of sleep. Though (technically as a shadhavar) he can go much longer without sleep than the average pony, it still wears on him. Almas is up all night running the Underground and Emeril has his job at the hospital. So the little time he can sleep is in the evening right between day and night. It probably contributes to a lower social drive too.
7. As one of several alters in a D.I.D. patient, he represents the “strength” in the collective person. He bears the worst of the memories that they carry, which allows Almas and the others not to think about it. But for this reason, he is scarred and jaded about life.
8. Despite a bright personality and a kind disposition, Emeril generally feels morals are an abstract concept that ponies have devised to cope with pain and that all things are predetermined.
9. He is into BDSM and is a submissive.
10. He does take an anxiety medication, though it is prescribed by a primary doctor and not a psychiatrist.
11. He is leery of opening up about who he really is for obvious reasons.
12. Like Almas, his glasses actually serve a function; they help him adjust to light more easily.
13. Even if he is taking a unicorn form, he still retains shadhavar magic, diet and inner biology. For example he can eat live rats and crush them in his throat, something Almas can also do.
14. But he does adapt some genuine unicorn characteristics. For example, a preference for spells with names and recorded uses. Almas prefers dark, unnamed magic that is driven by instinct and emotion.
15. He has numerous pets and is always taking in new ones. One of his favorites is a snake named Raisins. Some of these animals serve as familiars since they have a magic affinity with the night and Emeril (like Almas) is truly a night creature.
16. He has contacts that serve the same purpose as his glasses but he prefers the glasses.
17. In moments of extreme adrenalin rush he can sometimes lose control over his unicorn appearance and his eyes or fangs will show.
18. He has to be careful not to purr and hiss the way Almas does.
19. Though he likes rats and small prey like Almas does, Emeril is definitely more of a gourmet meal type of pony. He enjoys cooking and good food.
20. His full name is Emeril Asclepius.
21. Trivia: at first Asclepius was going to be his first name, named for the Rod of Asclepius, which is his cutie mark basically.
22. His cutie mark is actually a merging of Almas’ cutie mark and his late sister Elmas’. Almas’ is a serpent and Elmas’ was a rod/staff. Together they make Emeril’s.
9. Do animals like them? Do they get on well with animals?
36. What are they good at? What hobbies do they like? Can they sing?
50. If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?
Do animals like them? Do they get on well with animals?
I think, if only because of the sheer size of him (around 7'3), animals might be intimidated by him haha. (Unless you're a bird, then don't worry, he's more scared of you than you are of him!) Otherwise, he gets along with animals; he just has to be a bit more careful around the smaller ones. And he's definitely not immune to the desire to pet a cute cat or dog.
What are they good at? What hobbies do they like? Can they sing?
Dal is pretty good at drawing! His father is an herbalist and his mother is a hunter and he sorta took after both. When spending time with his father, he would draw plants and take notes on the page about their properties. Eventually this extended to drawing animals and their behavior, to help on hunts. And then to landscapes and locales, not just for traveling reasons, but also for memory-keeping. It's rather common to see him sitting in a place which gives him an interesting view to draw.
He also likes sparring and battle, both to keep his skills sharp, but also the sheer adrenaline of a good fight.
Trying new foods is fun! He's not the greatest at cooking (at the moment he's one of those "I eat for sustenance, not taste" kind of people), so it's nice to expand that palate and see what sorts of foods he enjoys. Might as well while traveling, right?
Part of me wants to say he collects seeds from all over the world, to hopefully one day grow and learn and draw and write about. But I'm not sure how he'd keep them organized while traveling. Does the WoL have a dedicated living space to offload items if they don't straight up own a house?
As for singing, while I think he has a nice enough voice, I don't think he's got enough experience in holding a tune haha.
If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?
I'll assume he can wear his armor and primary weapon on him and focus on other items.
His sketchbook and drawing/writing utensils, 100%. Too many good notes in there to leave it behind.
One spare outfit, something simple to cover all the necessary bits.
A backup weapon like possibly a dagger/knife which can have multiple uses, such as skinning an animal and preparing food.
Maybe some items that can be used to repair clothing? I'm sure even beyond normal wear and tear, Au Ra scales aren't beneficial to the lifespan of clothing haha
Small vials of salves for wounds and illnesses
A bit of money, of course
As you can see, he's a highly practical person, although one could argue his attachment to his sketchbook is sentimental too!
Misc First Order-related headcanon: because of lack of access to "basic" medical supplies, particularly vaccines, in the early years in the Unknown Regions, except for what they could occasionally steal or have smuggled, and growing up in mostly-sterile spaceship environments, a large number of young First Order officers have unusually poor immune systems. Trooper helmets are designed to filter airborne pathogens because of this - a single Trooper bringing back the flu (or some other common virus) poses a massive threat to entire Star Destroyers.
Roxy is literally the best at cheering people up. She usually knows exactly what to say to make someone happy.
Especially Zaze and John. There are times she'll just start talking about how much she loves them that they'll cry in happiness. John will not admit it, though.
