Hidden somewhere deep in Kashvi’s wardrobe were two rolled paintings. At the back of each portraits wrote:
“Princess Kashvi visited this humble monastery today. It is taboo for a babaylan to come out of seclusion before her induction, but Her Royal Highness insisted. She loves Belomisia, and expressed her excitement to have her station here. She polished the golden plate, and helped us arrange offerings and flowers in front of the Watcher. The Princess asked me to paint these pictures.”
“People had thought that the Princess was reclusive, shy, meek – she was the opposite. She is joyful and merry, helpful and kind. Her voice is sweet when she sings, peaceful when she recites Her Words. The Holy Court was right to follow the will of the Watcher. The vampire princess was the rightful babaylan of Omisca. May her longevity protect us and Her Word.”
From left to right: Valentina Asvang, Percival Asvang, Lady Lenora Beau, Lady Lana Beau
A noble house with a long history of feuding cousins (mostly from the Beau side). Now, they are together, living in the modern world, finding pleasure from running multiple businesses, under the watchful gaze of their Overlord. Their territory is the Fashion District in San Myshuno, that extends to Arts Quarter. Though Lady Lana hates calling herself the guardian of the city mortals, she still does her duty in protecting their territories, making sure that no trouble stirs – both from mortals and the occult.
Pose: Quadruplicate by @simmireen | Alternate pictures and notes below the cut.
For this poster, I wanted to show that the Beau-Asvangs are "modernized". Like, modern rich rich vampire folks that tries to blend in with the rich rich mortal folks. The posepack is so perfect, because this exudes piercing gazes of these people, something that tells, "I am above you, and you are beneath me". They watch over San Myshuno this way, with Val's half-dominating, half-curious look, with Percy's "I'm better than you" stare, with Lenora's cold and aloof gaze, and with Lana's stern glower.
