In キャラ設定とエキストラストーリー.txt from Undefined Fantastic Object, Captain Murasa’s name is written as Minamitsu, while in-game it is written as Minamitu.

Even though in Undefined Fantastic Object Sanae is called Kotiya and in Ten Desires she is called Kochiya, in the  キャラ設定とエキストラストーリー.txt file from both games her name is written with lowercase “s”.

The readme.txt from the full version of Undefined Fantastic Object has a leftover from the trial version readme.txt in the name of the game from the uninstall rubric.

It says: 上海アリス幻樂団＞東方星蓮船体＞アンインストール, but 体 is from 体験版, trial version. It seems that it was accidentally left there, while the other two symbols were deleted.

The release date of ver0.01a of Undefined Fantastic Object was mistakenly written as 2008/03/08 at the bottom of the readme.txt, but it was corrected to 2009/03/08 in the readme file of ver0.02a.

Characters’ descriptions from Undefined Fantastic Object can be found in the omake.txt from the trial version and キャラ設定とエキストラストーリー.txt from the full version.

Nazrin’s description had its last row replaced with three other different rows.

trial: 何者かに命令されて、何かを探しに来ているようだが果たして……。

full: 星から二つの探し物を依頼されて地上を探し回っていた。

      探し物の一つは、飛宝と呼ばれる飛倉の破片。

     もう一つは、毘沙門天の宝塔である。

Missing songs from Undefined Fantastic Object

If you extract the files from Undefined Fantastic Object, you can find the tracks’ descriptions in a file called musiccmt.txt. You can see that each song has a corresponding .wav.

As you can see, numbers 3, 6, 11, 12, 15 are missing. Probably they were scrapped. Wonder how these songs would sound like...

Characters’ descriptions from Undefined Fantastic Object can be found in the omake.txt from the trial version and キャラ設定とエキストラストーリー.txt from the full version. 

In the trial omake, Ichirin’s and Unzan’s names don’t appear before their description. They were added in the full version.

Also, the last two sentences from their description were changed completely:

trial: 何故、この空を飛ぶ船を守っているのだろうか。

       それはまだ語られていない。

full: ムラサ達の仲間の妖怪で、白蓮を慕う者の一人。

       入道相手にすら慈悲を見せる白蓮に帰依している。
