Youmu’s sleeves
Youmu appears as an opponent in the following shooting games: Perfect Cherry Blossom, Imperishable Night, Phantasmagoria of Flower View, Shoot the Bullet and Impossible Spell Card.
Her spritesheet has evolved throughout the games. This is how her portraits look like in PCB, IN and PoFV. Notice how in PCB and PoFV she has long sleeves and in IN she has short sleeves.
Her little sprites have been adapted accordingly. Almost. In PCB they are with long sleeves, while in IN they have been edited to have short sleeves. IN and PoFV use the same spritesheet for little sprites. So there will be long sleeve Youmu as a portrait in PoFV, but her little sprite has short sleeves. It’s not like it’s noticeable unless you pay a lot of attention. And it can easily be missed since it stays on screen for a very short period of time during the animation.
This is how her little sprites have evolved throughout the games.
Shoot the Bullet and Impossible Spell Card have a new spritesheet of little sprites. Both the same one. Youmu does not have big portraits in those games. Curious enough, this new spritesheet has both long sleeved and short sleeved sprites, but only the short sleeve sprites are used in game (or at least I haven’t noticed the other ones yet).
