Is it painted blue or are the cabinets blue?
It’s painted blue. It’s like a weird turquoise, almost? I don’t understand it at all.

Okay. Are you able to lie down on your bed? Even if you can’t sleep just lying down can help a little to recharge you. Do you have a night guard?
I’m lying down on my back with my mouth open. And no, I don’t have a night guard, I don’t usually clench my jaw like this.
Are you planning on bundling and selling any of your original fiction in the future? I'm interested in reading your work but I don't want to use Patreon (nothing against the site, just my anxiety being weird).
Yes! Once Unprofessional Behavior is done I'll be doing a bunch of editing and releasing a final version of it (probably for a dollar).

hm! I’m check out Shuri’s run, it sounds interesting. Is there one that focuses on the Dora Milage specifically?
They were intro’d in Vol. 3 Issue 1 of the 1998 run of Black Panther, but they are featured very prominently in Issue 1 of the current Ta-Nehisi Coates run, so I’m hoping they’re going to be all over it.
To be frankly honest, though: I want everyone to read the current run. Coates is an extremely talented writer. President Obama cited his work when he did the commencement speech this year at Howard University.
Coates has done journalism, mostly; his memoir/letter to his teenage son, Between the World and Me, was amazing, and he cited Gail Simone and Kelly-Sue DeConnick’s Bitch Planet in the piece he wrote for The Atlantic in his consideration for representation of women in Wakanda, including the Dora Milaje.
My hopes are sky high.

On Wakanda pt. 2: Black Panther & the Dora Milaje
ahh so there was issue with Ororo marrying him? I’m not familiar with the Black Panther comics but the animated series made it seem like his advisors were okay with the relationship but I was confused since I thought Wakanda was preeetty isolationist (from what I gathered from other Marvel comics).
Opinions were mixed! The 18 Tribes are more or less senatorial powers and have to confer about things. Most of them were okay with Ororo, and she still holds some prestige and power with certain members of the country. She was the one who nominated Shuri to succeed T’Challa as the Black Panther when he was temporarily dead, for example.
(The Panther God didn’t approve Shuri right away, she had to fight her ass off and earn it.)
I didn't know you liked Donna Barr! =D
Oh, man, her work is one of my biggest early influences! Her attitude about art also inspires me. “Do what you love, and the right people will understand it”.It’s thanks to her I know (somewhat) how to draw horses, and how to read a smattering of German.
I’ve always loved centaurs, so when I discovered Steinheld Löwhard and herd it was love at first sight! I hunted down every bit of her work I could, haha. My Dad got me a commission from her back then, of one of my favorite characters of hers, Ulli the werewolf–and more recently, buried somewhere in my dA messages, she gave me permission to use him for my own work so long as I source her! She couldn’t even remember him, his stories were published so long ago. But man, I will never forget. :DEdit: Dug up a charity book she published that I contributed art to. Why is my old art so damn embarrassing, lmao
*gasp* I didn't know you liked Check Please too! Do you want a link to a check please fanfic I've been enjoying recently?
yes
Rec - I've been reading the manga Collectors recently that I think you'd enjoy. It's about a lesbian couple in their twenties who clash over their different hobbies/obsessions. One collects books and the other collects clothes. It's funny and the underlying affection between the two is something I don't often see between couples in manga. Right now it's at 14 chapters but it's still updating.
sounds awesome! thanks for the rec!
