4. What are some themes you love writing about?Characters and relationships are always going to be what drives a story for me- plot can be hit or miss for me, but characters will always keep me writing.

More specifically, I really like the idea of two (or more) people being trapped together. Not necessarily in a literal sense (one of my favorite variants is being fugitives together), but just that they are, for whatever reason, incapable of leaving one another and have to learn how to adjust to that.

7. Create a character on the spot... NOW!A young, tiny priestess of a goddess represented by spiders. The temples are crawling with them, cobwebs considered sacred. Weaving is a divine art form and taught to all initiates. This priestess tries, but she is clumsy and bad with her hands and makes a lot of mistakes. Her errors, though, are considered to be guided by the goddess and predict future events.

10. What are your strengths wrt writing?Hm... I think I'm good at character interaction. I'm also good at being concise with my words, and can fit into word counts pretty easily.

13. Who are your favorite authors?It's hard to say- a lot of authors I regard in a big bubble of affection and admiration. Stephen King wrote my first adult novel, and even though I can pick up on a lot more of his problems now that I'm older, he's still one of my favorites. And more recently, I've really liked reading Kristin Cashore and Tamora Pierce.
