Some misogynistic shit my dad says and believe, part I (because I will surely do a part II): -Mom was talking about a woman whose daughter is 50 and single. My dad says: at her age a woman is not single, she's a stupid old twit. -There are "slut names" because "transvestites use them when they prostitute". Some examples are Julieta and Victoria. If that's your name, he will remember you for having a slut name. -"You never know the real age of a black or a fat". -"That woman is really fat. She is a macho". -At my brother on his P.E. teacher: "What woman are you talking about? That thing is a macho. A man, she is. You got to be careful not to bother /him/". -To my mom: "if you weren't talking on the phone and sending texts all day, we wouldn't be eating this late". She said: "I also clean and if you all wanted to eat earlier, you would help me". He said sarcastically, "ohhhh fine. You know what? Let me do all the cleaning now. You don't have to do nothing". I got tired of it and told him that it was entirely true: she didn't have any help, except mine. He yelled at me. "You are talking about something that you don't fully understand and you are the least who can say a thing in this". -My mom changed her WhatsApp profile picture to a feminist protest image. He said "why did you change your pic? The angels were prettier". When she explained what it was all about he said, "I don't care. Why did you do that? The angels were prettier". -My mom doesn't want him to know that she goes to the gym. She wants to keep it a secret. My dad manipulates her emotionally (he one texted her "come home now, I'm dying"; he surely was not; he was laughing and watching porn on his phone in his bed) and gets jealous if she goes to the gym.

it really annoys me how people can be so ignorant and listen to robin thicke- blurred lines thinking it's all fine. actually listening to it and encouraging others saying it's a "good song". just stop.

its crazy how you could go from being on such an emotional high from a beautiful wedding yesterday. getting a new cousin in the family who i love to pieces. she makes my cousin the happiest dude in the world to being in such a place where it never looks like anything is going to go up. its amazing how a 5 minute phone call (well 8 to be exact) from your ex-boyfriend can bring you back to the awful place he put you in when you were dating 6 years ago. 

within 3 minutes of the call hes putting down my grandmother as well as my religion. i know im not a religious person by any means... hell im the first to call MYSELF a bad jew but i get defensive when someone attacks me for it. 

why do i even let someone like that get to me? i mean, its been 6 years for a reason. ive grown and become such a happy person within that time period and 8 minutes can put me in such an awful place... to make me feel worthless... like im nothing. 

it makes me beyond angry that i can let someone effect (affect... i don't know) me in that way. i know better then to let someone do that to me and to stand for it at all, yet i do...
