Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries for #moviemonday After World War I, Miss Phryne Fisher has soared to an unexpected inheritance while others have fallen. Set in 1920s Melbourne, Australia, Miss Fisher uses her newfound wealth to enjoy life to the fullest, all the while investigating gruesome murders and inexplicable crimes that occur. Sometimes while she's in the same building, others that people search her out to solve as she becomes known as the 'lady detective'. Phryne has a wit and charm about her that absolutely beguiling, especially when Inspector Jack Robinson is around. There's a chemistry between their characters that has literally made me yell at the TV for them to kiss already 😅 Dot and Hugh are sweet, Mr. Butler is an asset beyond compare (and does comedy well), and Cecil and Bert always seem to get roped into odd scenarios. I've truly enjoyed watching this show. It's oddly lighthearted for something involving murder and the whodunnit aspect is fun. Also, despite the fact I would never wear it, I am extremely jealous of Miss Fisher's wardrobe.
