#missing childhood

Seeing kids have fun and play and do normal kid stuff is heartbreaking to me. It hurts so much that I couldn't do anything like how other kids did it. I couldn't be so positive and excited and participate in "normal child play". I was weird, I was traumatized, I wss socially outcast and it hurts to see people not have to suffer that (at least not yet, I hope not ever).

"I miss summer", i said and you gave me a weird look. "It is summer?", you said. But you don't understand. I miss the summer more then ten years ago were we chased one another on our bikes for the last time and mom was waiting for us with dinner and more sun cream.

Hey, could I ask you to stop here for a second and give this cute little song a listen. I really want to share a very special experience with everybody. I had never heard it until now, and I swear I almost cried when it played on the radio. I know it's usually baby lullabies and other children's songs of the sort that littles find special and stimulating when it comes to regressing, but as someone who hasn't managed to ever really regress this is one of the few songs that has actually reached my inner child. As an allegory for loss of innocence and nostalgia for childhood it speaks to the person I am now. It doesn't make me regress, but instead helps me come in terms with me growing up and shows me how I'm always welcome in the wonderland of my childhood without trying to be something I am not anymore. " I swear that old bear whispered, "boy, welcome home" " (This is not a post against regressing or believing in it. I love and admire all of you wonderful regressors!)
