"Return to the Sea" I don't normally tell the stories behind my work but for this one I imagine that this Mermaid has had some time on land and she has been called back to the sea. She is looking back with regret and sadness as she leaves that part of her life behind, the dark swirl of colours behind her represent her inner turmoil. She has left the land flowers in her hair as a reminder of her happiest time and has enchanted them so they will remain the same under the water. That's my interpretation but what do you see?
