I have such complicated feelings about Mist cause I think she's a great addition to the cast who I enjoyed, but boy, is she a piece of work. As frustrating as it is that she didn't kill Holstrom when she had the chance which would have prevented a lot of tragedy, it makes sense that he was able to logic her into being indecisive since she was still learning. But then she made Maddie believe that Caspian was gone for 20 years AND was willing to help upload David Kim Jr. behind Maddie back despite her being against it. Then there's the fact that she fell in love with Caspian, which is just crazy! I definitely wish we had more time to just unpack all of this in the show.
