but eddie has been chasing that dream of perfection his whole life (trying to make a family work with shannon, trying to make a relationship work with ana) that he just....... wants buck. he doesn't want to think about it (overthink about it). he just wants. and yeah he appreciates how fucking sweet his boyfriend is but also he is a 34 year old man, buck, kiss me like you mean it.

and yeah ok it could get a little angsty or! it couldn't! because all it takes is a little nudge to get buck and eddie on the same page and assurance from eddie that it doesn't matter if buck, quote, "does it right" because it will ALWAYS be right with buck, because it's buck.

and, yeah. buck gets with the program prettyyyy quick. (and gives abuela thank you flowers for watching chris overnight the next time he sees her.
