Munkustrap: It feels like we’re still in our own little bubble, only this time we’ve invited someone that says she likes us. It’s still a small group, but it’s a bigger family. It’s a bigger hug.

Mr. Mistoffelees: And you can feel a hand on your butt and you’re like, "Who is that?”

Munkustrap: And you’re like, "I don’t care because I know it’s a friend.”

Mr. Mistoffelees: And if something feels good, you don’t need to explain it. You just enjoy the feeling.

Ok so I just had a shower thought moment and I absolutley love and hate myself for coming up with this.

So for the 2019 movie I am all aboard the S.S. Mistoriastrap because cuddles and love and wholesomeness. But thanks to the amazing @uppastthejelliclemoon I have also gotten really into the whole misto and Tugger are ex boyfriends idea. So I was humming in the shower and I started to sing Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” and I had a heartbreaking thought...

Misto became attracted to Tugger intitally because of his bad boy can’t be contained attitude and Tugger was attracted to the wonder of misto’s magic. They really did have shared feelings for each other, but the problem was that Tugger thought that he could just keep acting the way he always did and everything would be fine. But the thing about tuggers natural playboy attitude is that it draws cats in, but makes it very difficult to keep them close to him due to the constant fear of him leaving them because he gets sidetracked a lot and sometimes forgets to spend time with them leave them alone for days at a time or suffocating them with too much attention creating a endless cycle of confusion. For the anxious and self deprecating Mistoffelees this was a nightmare and eventually he just couldn’t stand it anymore and broke up with Tugger. Tugger never truly understood what he had done wrong... until he saw how Victoria and Munkustrap treated Mistoffelees. They bring him flowers and talk to him whenever they have the chance. They would always find time to spend with him to just talk or cuddle and not seek him out to simply have a little fun. They took him with them wherever they went and if misto wanted time to be alone they granted it without questioning. They comforted him and made it very clear that he was wanted and appreciated and trusted. And soon Tugger realized what he had done wrong.

He had been trying to prove to that he was worthy of Misto, when he had needed to prove that Misto was worthy of him. Upon this realization Tugger comes to terms with how happy Misto is now and resolves to leave him be and let him enjoy this newfound love, but not before singing a quiet emotional ballad of his own while watching the happy trio...
