Strawberries and Cigarettes

For those here who don't know, Strawberries and Cigarettes is the name of Sanji (from One Piece) x Mitsuri (from Demon Slayer).

I don't know when I first saw this crack ship. I think it was a random picture on Pinterest. But that doesn't matter that much…

What does matter is that I LOVE this ship!

Like, REALLY love this ship!

I do really think they are perfect for each other. As much as, if not MORE than the original and canon ship of Obanai x Mitsuri (not to be rude to all those who love this ship because I do too).

Why do you ask? Great question, because I really need to rant to someone about them, and why I love this ship so much!

First of all, the importance of food for both of them, for Sanji, cooking is his passion, and one of the most fundamental parts of his character. He cooks out of love, concern, and care for others (and himself). This is also one of the reasons why the food he makes is so delicious, because as cliché as it may be, it is because it's just full of love. Mitsuri has a big appetite; she can easily eat a dozen plates. She is one of the only people who can truly appreciate the love and care Sanji puts into the food he makes, not only for her but for everyone. She will return it twice as much in her actions, and maybe will even make something in return, like pancakes, for example. In addition, she starved herself for someone she loved. And the fact that Sanji would NEVER let her do this to herself, actually, he will cook for her until she is full and happy.

Secondly, Sanji is a very chivalrous character; he thinks that all women are beautiful as they are, and no matter who they are, it doesn't matter to him what they look like or act like. He would never make Mitsuri feel bad about herself in any way. He would love her despite her strange hair, her endless appetite, her colorful and loving nature, and her more than impressive physical strength. In fact, he would love her more because of those things. Mitsuri would appreciate her for all her sides, and she would appreciate that he is a person with a lot of love inside of him, even if he is a little rough around the edges, because she is like that too.

Thirdly, Sanji sacrifices a lot and often, whether it's in small or big acts. He takes care of everyone he loves, but on the other hand, his not really taking care of himself. This is where Mitsuri comes in. She will be the one to take care of Sanji and return his love in a very similar way. She will pamper him, cook for him, talk to him, hug him, comfort him, and, in short, love him. If Sanji has her back, she will have his back. If he pampers her, she will do double in return.

I have so many more reasons, but I don't want to write them all right now. You really need to just understand that they were made for each other, even if they're not even in the same series.

Anyway, that's all for today. I hope I've convinced you that they'll be just SO cute together.
